I’ve never been particularly good at leaving a question alone. I need to understand things, even when there may not be an answer. Give me a strange story, complicated human behavior, or question that doesn’t sit right, and I’m probably going down the rabbit hole. And I’m bringing someone with me. By day, I’m a union drywall finisher. I love cooking, good food, craft beer, football, animals, and being anywhere near nature or the water. But my biggest curiosity is people: why we do what we do, believe what we believe, and accept the answers we’re given. I created Outside the Footnotes because, in a world that can feel superficial, I needed a place for depth. I don’t have all the answers. I just have a lot of questions and a genuine desire to explore them. Most of all, I want listeners to laugh, think, feel seen, and feel like they’ve pulled up a chair and joined the friend group. Because sometimes the best conversations remind you: you aren’t the only person who wondered about it.

I’m eclectic by nature and don’t feel like I fit neatly into one category. I’m a full-time document control specialist who works from home, but my interests range from yoga, crystals, sound healing, Reiki and Tai Chi to science, poetry, journaling, social media and etymology. I’ve practiced yoga for over 20 years, taught for about five, and been a Reiki Master Teacher for 11 years.

I consider myself a quiet rebel. Raised in Catholic schools from kindergarten through high school, I’ve also studied Protestantism, Buddhism and Hinduism. I question everything because I want to understand the why and find the common ground beneath different beliefs.

I don’t always find it easy to share my views when I fear being seen as weird or rejected. Losing my mom in 2023 reshaped my life and pushed me outside my comfort zone. As co-host of Outside the Footnotes, I’m doing exactly that—sharing stories, asking questions, and exploring ideas that make me stop and think.
