I think the comment about making our pastors priests standing in our place advocating us to God could be attributed to many of us. We are lazy. We don't read the Word nor claim Christ as our Lord, daily shepherding us. We want the head knowledge of Gods existence. So we want the pastor to not shepherd but administer the tenets of God to us. That way we are removed from the relationship and not accountable to Him.
