This episode was recorded near the end of a hectic week and weekend for Mike, and at a lowish point in Jim's current unsettledness.  Conversation is on par but we're calling a mulligan on energy output.

Sincere gratitude goes out to our first Patreon monthly subscriber.  More sincerity and gratitudity will be had for more of those, if you please.

SPEAKER_01

All right, so we've done all the talking about everything we wanted to talk about. So that's it, everybody. Great to see you. Show was great. Welcome to the uh Gray on the Rocks show. And uh Mike and I are two old dudes sitting here on a Sunday afternoon uh doing this instead of a nap. So yeah, you're welcome.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, I did take kind of a nap before this because I sat down in a chair. It's been a long weekend. Yeah, great weekend, but a long weekend. And I was pretty tired. So I made the mistake of sitting down.

SPEAKER_01

Close my eyes for a little bit. Man, I had a it's been a, I was telling Mike, it's been a quiet weekend here. It's been a busy week. Work has been unusual for me. I'll talk about that in a little bit. Uh, and yesterday, Saturday, the uh 15th of August, was like super quiet for me. One of the first days that I can remember in possibly months that I had a day of absolutely nothing on my calendar and nothing that needed to get done. And so I got things done. And then it just turned into uh, hey, I've got to take these lights down and I've got to cut the grass with my hand sickle mower, one of those old things.

SPEAKER_02

Old timey lawnmower.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, old time. I've got a really small yard, and we decided to put sod down this year, and it's been a long, crazy project. And and the biggest, biggest hassle. If you ever get yourself a miniature schnauzer uh or two, like we have, you'll you'll enjoy keeping them out of places that they're not supposed to be in. Because for our little Yuki dog, she is all about figuring out these puzzles that we've got for her, and uh that's what it's been this summer is keeping her off the sod. But uh, I think we're getting close to the end and we're we're starting to cut the grass now. So uh so that's what we've got. And you've had, sir, you've had a super busy week. Now, what does it take? So it's it's but it's a seminar, right? You had a seminar with martial arts, and you had some people come in, and you know, we talk about this a lot when you have these that you've got these people coming in, and this many people signed up, and it goes great, and and these are the accomplishments that you have. What does it take to put together a martial arts seminar in today's world? How does that come about? So, first you have to have a school, right? Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

First off, you do you do have to have a some type of martial arts to dojo or gym, and this was for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Yeah, and so we we um brought out my coach from Sparks, Nevada, and uh three of his senior students, his business partner, um Bro, who's uh gonna be his next black belt. Is his name bro or is that yeah, it really is. Yeah, it's bro, bro Williamson. So JT, who is his business partner, uh, and they were they were together at the police department, Ray and JT. Uh and then bro, who's his um four striped brown belt, who's gonna be his next black belt. And I've known Bro since I think he was a blue belt, super great guy, great jujitsu. And then he brought Ray brought out of his son Eli, and Eli is like a Nephilim, he's a giant, like legitimately just a giant. Well, Ray's a big guy too, so yeah, no, and Eli is way taller.

SPEAKER_01

Really? Yeah, it's insane.

SPEAKER_02

So what has to happen is one, you have a coach and you have to have a gym, and then we schedule this a year out. We look at our calendars and we have to figure out where he's going because he does seminars all over the place. Sure, yeah. And and what works best for us at our gym, and then we come to uh uh a date, a couple dates, and we whittle it down. And so this year it was the 15th of August, and so I used to buy the tickets for him, and then his um the people that he would bring, because he's always bringing out a couple a couple people with him, they would have to buy tickets to marry up with him and fly out. Um but this time what we did is uh he found his own tickets and uh excuse me, they all booked them together. They flew out here uh on a Friday and uh almost didn't make it actually because their flights kept getting cancelled and Avila Air Air Service these days.

SPEAKER_01

It's bad, yeah, it was very bad.

SPEAKER_02

Um two of them didn't get their luggage until the next day.

SPEAKER_01

This is like the 80s, man.

SPEAKER_02

It's ridiculous. And then we had a three-hour uh Brazilian Jiu Jitsu wrestling seminar, and what what what we do is we pick a topic. And usually I have an idea, a theme that I want, you know, I want to I because I'm very selfish. I pick a thing that I'm deep diving into that I want to get my coach's intake on because I his take on because I don't see him very much, uh, because he lives in Sparks, Nevada.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh this time he suggested something that he's been working on, which worked awesome. Yeah, it was an awesome seminar. So we we picked the topic, and then I have to advertise it, and I start advertising about six months out, and then I get super aggressive about it about two months out, and then the month of people see it every single week. We post it in the gym, we send out text messages to the members about it. We try to get people to sign up. We send it up to some other gyms that we like in the area, not every gym, just some of the gyms we like in the area.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't get it, so obviously I know what setting it.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and and my my senior brown belt, my three straight brown belt that lives in California now, he flew out for it too. Oh, nice, all right. Tyler came out, which was really neat. Guys had spent some time with him. Yeah, you guys had a full house. Well, yeah. Well, Tyler stayed at an Airbnb.

SPEAKER_01

He all right, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, which I get. We had a full house.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so that is a full house.

SPEAKER_02

And he uh and I'll see Tyler again in November when I do their ceremony out in uh Montana.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, Montana. Why are they going to Montana to get married?

SPEAKER_02

Well, there's a ranch out there that in Bozeman that is right on the line of Yellowstone. And it's just this beautiful place that people go out and get married at, and the vista's gorgeous. And um his wife Taylor wants to have like a winter wedding.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's definitely gonna be a winter wedding, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so the view is gonna be awesome. Yeah, so we'll all just drive out there. I mean, it's like nine hours, I'm not flying. That's in November. It would be a 14-hour day.

SPEAKER_01

That's in November, yeah. So we were talking about when we're gonna do our uh annual road trip. We'll have to get our calendars to line up, maybe. That would be fun. That'd be kind of cool. Yeah. A whole other thing. Anyway, that was an extension of the pre-show.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. So we um we advertise it, we get people signed up, and a lot of times we get um same-day signups, people walk in. Yeah. I try to get a number for as much uh you know, so I can un I I can have an idea of how many people are gonna be there. But we ended up having around 14-15 people, which is a good seminar. Um trained for three straight hours on the mat.

SPEAKER_01

This was Friday or Saturday then? Saturday. Saturday we did that, all right.

SPEAKER_02

Um and then we uh came back, got cleaned up, and actually, no, we went from there to Rocky's burger joint immediately, all sweaty and everything. Yeah. Um, ate and then came back here and hung out for a while, and then we had a barbecue at the house. Oh, nice. And we got our uh we got our like our committed OGs that came to the barbecue. We invited everybody in the the gym. Yeah, but I know that not everybody's gonna come here, so I made enough food for who I thought would show up, which is pretty much why I thought who showed up, and then lost some because now I got food for the week. Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um and then they left today. So all right.

SPEAKER_01

So was there was there more training this morning then, or was it no pretty spent?

SPEAKER_02

We stayed up too late last night.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, all of this coordinating and and bringing people in, and and I'm not trying to diminish this, but it's three hours. Like that's a lot of commitment for people to come in. And I understand it's intense, and you're getting a lot out of like three hours is a long time, but I've also spent three hours that isn't enough time. And and and I so I guess in my mind, I've always imagined that this because of what you talk about with the seminars, and and I've I've known about the kind of work that goes into putting it together and coordinating with people, like I would I would want 16 hours, but I guess that might kill you at this point. Yeah, it's too much.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I we used to do four hours, yeah. You know, and probably about five years ago we switched because people were just getting saturated. We used to do seminars in the beginning where it was four hours of jujitsu, and then if people were ready to get promoted, we'd do their Iron Man's after the seminar, which for an hour and a half, yeah. Yeah, that's what happened to me when I got my brown belt. It was brutal. We did a seminar and then I rolled for an hour and a half.

SPEAKER_01

I was with you early on at a at a seminar. I I want to say South Dakota, where where it was crov magah. And yeah, you made a lot of us puke. And that was that was long days because I I remember that was like a couple over a couple days.

SPEAKER_02

That was actually in um Grand Forks when I was a special agent in charge of our field office there. Why did I think we went down to I wasn't a black belt and crov in Saratona?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, no, we traveled. No, Wisconsin, Wisconsin. Did we go to Wisconsin?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's right. It was yeah, that's where it was.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_02

We went to Red the Red Dragon Academy in Wisconsin. Yeah, that's what it was. But I was I was still in we were in Grand Forks, and yeah, yeah. Yeah, that was crazy. Anyway, sidebar.

SPEAKER_01

So that's what all happened. So that that's a that's a busy weekend, and and again, I I just imagine the commitment that goes into that, and we all have things that we're passionate for. Yours is clearly uh, you know, fitness and martial arts, uh, and and uh man, I I don't I don't know what I'm committed to at that level. Music church. Uh by the way, uh Pastor from my church listens to our show here and uh oh cool appreciates what we talk about and and was happy to hear that you are. Uh I hope I'm not calling you out here tongue fully in cheek that you are a saved man, and uh uh yeah, he's so he's he's happy for that too. Um, as am I. Uh and that that's so that's what's been happening. That's happened that that's your world, right? So you've got you've got yeah, this this whole thing, and it's weeks of preparation and planning, and you're it's still your seminar.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I know you brought in I trained the entire time as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yep. And then just you just said you stayed up late. Yeah, that's now that's that's on you.

SPEAKER_02

That yeah, yeah, because we're having a good time. Everybody came over, and we're you know, we had bourbon and good food and good conversation, and then all of a sudden it was midnight.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, as as does happen at your house, there's time travel. Uh, so what we're drinking today, since you mentioned bourbon, I just finished off. Uh, this is a bronze horse soldier. Um, fantastic story about the the guys that have that, and each bottle has metal from the uh World Trade Center built into their into their label, so good thing to keep and hold on to. So that's my drink. I love the whiskey, I love the story. Uh, it's an easy decision to drink that on a Sunday afternoon.

SPEAKER_02

I've got Milden Mill from Yep, and from around Reno. Uh there are two, yeah, there are two bourbons that are known from running around there. One is Fry Ranch and the other one's Mid Minden Mill. And JT, uh the co-owner of SPG Sparks, he's a bourbon guy too. And he knows that I'm a bourbon guy. So he brought that out as a gift because he knows I like local when I travel and I try to drink local whiskeys and bourbons and stuff.

SPEAKER_01

So do you did he did he tell you how you got it here? Do you still have the keister whiskey to bring in?

SPEAKER_02

It was in his prison wallet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay, good. I mean, that's it's good on him. I mean, there's that thing is square, so yeah, it's not his first rodeo if he got that. He's keistering some bottles.

SPEAKER_02

I have not even tried it yet. So I've poured my glass.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, you haven't even had a sip yet.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, I oh I opened it for this show. Nice. I have no idea what it's like.

SPEAKER_01

Well, let's let's do that. Here we go. Yeah, this is you sipping for those that are just listening. Uh Mike is lighting his his face is on fire.

SPEAKER_02

There's uh it's uh easy, it's an easy start, yeah. But it's really hot on the back end.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I saw when that happened. Like you are flushed at this point. Yeah, a little bit a little warm on the back end.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe with a couple more sips, it'll be different, but that first sip, yeah, punch you right in the back of your throat. Yeah, it was it was really good at first. I'm like, oh, this is really sweet.

SPEAKER_01

And then gave me ho. Yeah, that's the stuff I like. Save me a save me a little sip of that if you think. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, yeah, it might save you the bottle.

SPEAKER_01

No. I I need to be, I need a punching. I need to get punching from time to time. Uh that's right.

SPEAKER_02

That way what you do is none of your business.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, it's it's the lack of being able to taste the nuance that uh causes me to need the the full-on. Give me the give me the stuff, give me the stuff that that wrestles my tonsils. If I had them, I don't have them anymore. I lost them in my childhood.

SPEAKER_02

In the childhood war.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, in the war of check in the war, papy. Yeah, and my adenoids. I had those taken out several times. I had uh I had my something soldered inside my nose when I was a kid. I don't remember what I used to get a lot of nosebleeds, and I'd go in from time to time, and it I don't remember it precisely, but it seems like they just took like a like a soldering iron and stuck it in there, and things smelled burnt for a while, and and then I didn't have nosebleeds. So this was you know, this was the 1900s, you gotta remember. That's true.

SPEAKER_02

No one barbarians.

SPEAKER_01

Taste of smell.

SPEAKER_02

There's smell.

SPEAKER_01

There is my autobiography title. There it is. Taste of smell.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and we stayed up late Friday night, too. I went to bed, I think, at 1 30 on Saturday morning.

SPEAKER_01

So it's really not about what happens at the gym. I mean, that's kind of a perk. It's like the cherry on top of the sun.

SPEAKER_02

It's the fellowship with everybody and talking and the good times that we get to have. Um, jujitsu is a a community that if you're in the right community, the right gym, yeah, uh, the right tribe, you're like family because we operate in such an intimate space for that martial arts.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's so okay. I gotta compare because we talk about that with our church. That's what that's what we offer to each other and to the community is we are, we don't use the word tribe, but we do consider like we're not a church family, we're a family family. Like that's that's what people are looking for, um, or that's what people find when they're looking for a church if they come to us, is the family. And I was just thinking, well, I need to make that comparison when Mike's done talking about this. But when you talked about how intimate you guys are, I think you win because we don't oil check each other uh or or get into the kind of positions that you guys do.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, where somebody's fairy on your crotch.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, that that rarely, I mean, it's usually accidental if that happens, or or the pastor talks to us after the service, you know, and you know, we need to go have a conversation.

SPEAKER_02

No longer invited to the worship.

SPEAKER_01

You can be here, but you can't stick around for the the potluck after. And that was today for us. It was our uh every third Sunday we have a potluck, so that's the fellowship that we get. I mean, we get the time before church and after church, people stick around, and I love that. Uh, and and once a month, uh, sometimes more, we'll get together and and have a meal together. And there is something about that. You talked about the barbecue last night, checked in by text yesterday. You said you had the barbecue, and I thought, perfect. That is that is the way for people to really make connection. And uh, you guys always and you and Rochelle have a beautiful home and the the space to be able to do that kind of thing. And uh it's just another blessing, right? That we, as the men that we are, get to have in our lives that we have this in our lives, regardless of what else is going on out there.

SPEAKER_02

I have to admit, my my great mistake from last night, though. We I barbecued all this food on my blackstone, brought it in, started eating, started having whiskey, and I woke up this morning. And did you know what I saw? My blackstone not have a little cover on it.

SPEAKER_01

You didn't put the cover on, I didn't clean it afterwards. Oh, well, it's well seasoned with whatever you cooked on it. What'd you cook on it? Oh, I yeah, I'm uh uh burgers and dogs. Oh, all right. Well, it could have been worse. I mean, it wasn't did you put cheeseburgers? Did you put cheese on there? No, no, I've got to go.

SPEAKER_02

I've never put cheese on the grill. I that's always a side.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh okay. No, I've I've put it on there, but I but I clean it right away. So you've got you've just got fat on there. If you had a good layer of fat, it probably isn't even that bad. Did you try cleaning it yet? Or is that tomorrow's problem? Yeah, it's a feature marks problem.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and because it's gotta be a feature marks problem because my first thing that I have to do is there's water leaking in from outside in my home gym. And it's only what yeah, you know when you're walking my the gym and you turn, you look at the makalo rig that I have, that far left corner, yeah, soaking wet, and it's not coming from any place else. Um, and the drywall, the bottom's a little soft, so I gotta pull out all the baseboards. I've got to move all the weights off of that makalo rig, and I've got to move the rig itself. Woof.

SPEAKER_01

So you're gonna need some help with that.

SPEAKER_02

I am super happy about this.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, how like how far into the room is it wet, or is it just the wall?

SPEAKER_02

It's just a corner and a little bit of the wall, so I've just got to figure out what's going on there, you know.

SPEAKER_01

So I've had some experience with this. Uh business that I used to help run, we'd have regular floods, a long story. But something that's really important, I don't know if you've dealt with this yet. Probably you have, but we can share with the show is when you take the trim off, make sure to cut up on that. Uh um, you just said the word drywall. Cut yeah, cut up on the drywall and then blow some air in there. Otherwise, that's where the black mold comes in, is behind it. So you've got to you've got to get a fan blowing that that air up in there. And and uh there are cheap hygrometers where you can they they're two-prong and you just stick it in the drywall and it'll it'll beep if there's moisture. Um, you might want to see if Home Depot or Menage or something has one.

SPEAKER_02

Um be my project all this this entire week.

SPEAKER_01

That's that is that is a big project. You have a well, you so you've got lots of stuff because crack in the drywall. Uh because you don't you don't have, I mean, you've had some water issues. Everyone in my knot has issues with water and murder. Like that's what you guys get to deal with. Maybe a little meth. Well, that's I mean, that's a that's a result of uh all of the water. Water is what leads to meth to forget about the water, exactly, and then that's why people kill each other, is because of the meth. What you need is a spider that swallows the fly, and it'll all work out in the end.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not the I'm not even bothered touching it today. That's a tomorrow morning. Yeah, I'm I I'm able to have enough dumbbells that I can do a dumbbell workout, you know. Yeah, my entire workout regime.

SPEAKER_01

Breathing all those mold spores in there, that'll that'll boost your immune system.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just gonna move the bench out a little, you know, away from everything and do a dumbbell workout and then get that done, and then then the real work has to happen. That'll be every single day this week when I'm not at the gym. I'm not gonna be able to go out to the uh cabin at Russo and do anything with yard work or nothing.

SPEAKER_01

Well, see, at at at Russo you need water because your well isn't functional, and at your house in my not you have extra water, so you just need a long pipe.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, if I could just don't we all and someone to lay it, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, as is yeah, as is the way that's gonna be my entire week post seminar, and then I've got I'm traveling next month up to Canada to Kingdom MMA to do a seminar there.

SPEAKER_02

When is that? Uh yep, middle of it's middle of September. Yeah, so it's the weekend.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, it's the same weekend I'm going to South Dakota. You're going up to uh yep, you're going to Canada. That's right, because we had talked about that being our road trip, and and then I remembered I had I'm otherwise occupied. And that's my my trip's gonna be fun. South well, yours is too. I because you're going to Edmonton, right? Yep, yeah. Absolutely had a blast when we were there uh a few years ago, other than the smoke, but it's Canada, they're always on fire.

SPEAKER_02

The whole province being on fire, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh but my trip is a wedding down in South Dakota. I'm excited for that. Fun, fun cousins of my wife.

SPEAKER_03

So awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that'll be a good time, also. Uh yeah, and and same, busy, like things happening. Um, job hunting or or business making or or something needs to happen. We were talking in the in the pre-show. Um, you know, we we have a history of talking about mental health quite a bit, right? Like that that comes up naturally for us in our regular conversations in our previous show, in this show. Uh, and I was just telling Mike, you know, I'm in a bit of a funk. There are things that are happening um that uh none of them individually is is wearing uh and and draining dramatically, but there are enough of them happening that my my soul is tired today. And that's we were talking about that. Like I had nothing going on yesterday, and yet I'm tired. I woke up and and this is something I don't think I mentioned this to you, Mike, but there this is something that I don't remember the last time this happened, but I woke up uh and needed to cry. And and sometimes that happens, and I think we've all been there. Um, and I've I've talked with you, Mike, about my dream life is uh sometimes intense and and I've I'd had a relational dream that was uh hurtful and then woke up with the weight of the things that are happening. Uh and I'm and the thing is I'm fine. Like I'm not I'm not feeling overwhelmed. I'm just like if there was a if there was whelmed and overwhelmed, if there's a range in there, like I'm not well. Yeah, I'm I'm a little like like elevated whelmed, not not over, but elevated. Uh and there's just a lot of things that are happening that that I'm putting on my shoulders, and I know that I have friends and family and you know the people in the world that care, and I'm not trying to burden myself with them with all of this all by myself. It just just for a couple days. And I don't know if anybody else is like this, but sometimes I just need a sad couple country songs and just let it let it melt. I might I might do a cigar a little bit later on and just sit outside and let the clouds slide by in the sky, and and sometimes that that helps as well. And you know, and and going back to my roots and my passion then with with Christ and being a believer and and praying and communing, like because there's a there's a um there's a blockage that can happen. Not inten it's it's rarely intentional these days. I've lived a life before where um I would shut God out because I was angry, and I feel now that I can just talk to him about it, and you know, we've got that connection, so I can talk about that. And I think maybe I'm I'm due for one of those conversations. That you know, I don't I there's there's nothing that I've done or that he's done to me. I'm gonna put that in quotes, but you know, the things that have been allowed in my life and things that are happening around me that I know are outside of my control, that dog on it, I I do want to be in control of them, and I need to figure out how to let them go and and how I can just be at peace with that. So uh, you know, I I guess I don't I didn't really plan to bring that up, but I've been in a bit of a funk. And if anybody else is out there, you're not alone. We can always, we can always, always know that. And and maybe I just needed to say it to imagine there's somebody that's uh on the other side of the the microphone that that feels the same. And I mean sometimes it's Mike and I being the same, and there's been and it's interesting, you know, for for guys that have been as close as we've been for well over 25 years now, uh, there's times that we're both in in the the restful and productive part of life where things are going great and we don't really have to put a lot of effort into things, and there's been other times where one of us is really up there and another one is really like shoulder to the wheel trying to get things done, and and and there's been times we've both been in the funk at the same time and and and struggling through things, and um you know it's a blessing to to have each other through all of that, and and I'm hoping that everybody out there gets that as well.

SPEAKER_02

That's one of the things missing for men in society today is a community of other men. We were talking about that. Um me, Ray, JT, um, and bro were talking about that. And we had one of my students over last night. Um, and they him and his wife came to breakfast with us at Charlie's. We were in town this morning before I took everybody to the airport.

SPEAKER_01

They're not a sponsor, by the way.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, not a sponsor. Neither is Rocky. Uh it's where we take everybody when they come into town. Um, and Jordan came in uh as well. And Jordan's quickly becoming a really critical part of the gym and and tribe and really trusted member for all of us there. And he's just a great guy. He he uh he sent me a text this morning and and basically it was thanking me for allowing him to be around such a great group of guys. And and I think we just need that as men. We need a couple other people that one hold us accountable, yeah, but we can that can share the burden and we can be openly honest with and that it it doesn't have to be, we don't have to pretend that we're macho and and robotic. Yeah, like we the guys that were here, they're they were friggin' animals. You put those, you put them on the mat, and they and and JT and Ray have had long careers in law enforcement, and bro is was a flight medic, and now he's a nurse in an ER. So, I mean, definitely guys have have been through a lot in their lives and could try and play the absolute always macho all the time. But when we're together, we're very open and honest about what's going on. We have great discussions. And Ray brought a son, Eli, and and and he even said, you know, he wants Eli to be a see this. Yeah, so what kind of relationship what a what a healthy relationship between men should be. That is powerful. And what we and then to talk about why males uh uh in a large part in society are are the way they are, and it's a lack of that. It's a lack of friendship, it's a lack of community, it's a lack of uh fellowship, it's a lack of ability, yeah, yeah, and connection. Yeah, because when you when you I think when you're truly connected with a small group of friends, and it does need to be a small group of friends, yeah. That ten ring needs to be real really dialed in, in my opinion. Not everybody should have access to that that space in your life, right? Uh and there are people out there that do that because that's just who they are, they want everybody to be their best friend. Well, they they can't. I've got two that I can say best friends, right? Uh, and then everybody else is a very close friend, yeah. That that that fits in that 10 ring, and then everybody else are just friends and then acquaintances, right? Like your 20 and 40. It it just becomes friends and acquaintances. Well, that that small dialed-in ring is important because with that connection comes accountability. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

If they're if they truly deserve to be in that 10 ring, and that's that's part of the uh that's part of the uh interview process and the the vetting process to be in that ring. And and that's uncomfortable for me, but I'll I've I've learned that I have to do that, and it comes out in in those when when someone moves in a ring, or there are reasons for people to move out of a ring, and I think that's an important realization and and things that we need to talk about, also is that it doesn't remain static. Uh people shift all around all the time, and people can drift in and out, uh, and and it can be appropriate. Some people need time to do something else, they're on a different journey, and suddenly we don't have the time to have the connection that we did. But on the other side of it, hey, we're we're back together again. I mean, there were times you were you were half a world away, and and uh times I was in a different season of life, and we just didn't have the connection that we do now, and and the ability to have the connection that we do now, uh again. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But it it is cyclical, which is okay, yeah, or it could be, you know, it could be the end of it, and that's okay too. Because somebody else will come along that will fill that space in the group, yeah, if they're the right fit, and that's we yeah, sometimes we hold on to friendships for far too long, or relationships for far too long. And it ends up being detrimental, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, amen. There's okay, there's my other book. I've got I got about 25 books I need to write just off our conversation here today. Uh, how's how's yours coming along? How's your writing?

SPEAKER_02

Good. Um, I did some writing this past week, which I appreciated. Um I feel like I'm kind of past that wall that where I was at. I'm able to sit down and write for about 15 minutes and and I don't edit it, I just write. And yeah, uh eventually we'll go back and and start reading through this stuff. Um, the the fiction book, I haven't touched that in a minute. I've been pretty focused on that's reasonable book on leadership.

SPEAKER_01

That's reasonable. We could just we could just plug what you have for the fiction book into AI at this point. They could probably bust out the book for us, and we'll just edit it up and there you go.

SPEAKER_02

Make AI write it.

SPEAKER_01

Make threes of dollars on the internet selling it. Yeah, speaking of which all of the dollars. Can we celebrate a little bit? Yeah, let's celebrate. We're gonna celebrate a little bit. We have on our Patreon page, we now have a subscriber. I don't want to call them up by name because we didn't talk about this ahead of time, but you know who you are. We appreciate you. Thank you very much. Yeah, uh, you're you're a good friend of of both shows that we've had now, and uh um thank you for doing that. So, others, please uh take take heed and do similar if you can. Come along with them, come on, come on the ride with them. Yeah, and I don't know if everybody can see what it is, but uh, you know, if you if if when you see when you click the link, you see you could do five bucks a month, 10, 25. You know, we're still looking for that 10 million dollar one-time gift would be fine. Yeah. Uh listen, I'm gonna be looking for a job November 6th.

SPEAKER_02

We're gonna do a 70-30 split on that $10 million. So Gespron look for a job.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we'll talk about that. I I'm gonna reverse negotiate you there. Um, I don't think that'll work. We'll use so we'll do 30-30 and we'll use the other 40% for like the skunk and gator fund. How about that? I like it. Yeah, we'll have a party. Yeah, we'll have a we'll have a big old party and invite everybody. That'll be fine.

SPEAKER_02

The whole world's gonna get invited.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, no. No, maybe. I mean, the one circle, maybe the second circle. I mean, we still gotta have a good time. I don't want people I don't know there. Yeah, that I you don't want people you don't know there. I don't really care to spend time with. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

They're just like NPCs in my life. Who are we kidding?

SPEAKER_01

It's just gonna be you and I.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, that's yeah, Michelle's gonna roll her eyes and walk out and yeah, that seems work in the garage with them.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's reasonable and right, absolutely. Yeah, she's got what's her project these days, Russo, I suppose, right?

SPEAKER_02

The yeah, and the the school bus out there converting it into a bunkhouse. It's coming along really, really well. But yeah, she is in Dickinson, she was in Dickinson today. Um school prep. Meeting students, yep, school prep. And then she's on her way back, but I think she's going out to Russo.

SPEAKER_01

Massage, well, sure, yeah, it's on the way. Uh Massage School. In North Dakota, it really is. That's so that starts up in what a week or two? Massage school.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's like a couple weeks. Yeah. Um, and then it goes all the way through the end of March.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I'll teach pathology starting in January. Oh, yeah. Through the end of the school year. Yeah. So after the holiday break in January, I I teach it twice a week for two hours.

SPEAKER_01

Back to busy again.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, you know, it's like I don't even I teach it from home. It's the didactics online. They just have to log in.

SPEAKER_01

So do you do you wear like a collared shirt and pajama bottoms?

SPEAKER_02

I wear a collared shirt.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, uh Porky Piggin. I got it. Yeah, yeah, why not?

SPEAKER_02

I wear I you know what's funny is I wear my professor clothes just like I did when I taught in person. There's a collared shirt and a sweater and some slacks, and I dress for teaching. You put you put shoes on? You put shoes on? I you I mean good lord. Wow. I here and here's the reason why. I get dressed for teaching because it puts me in teaching mode. It's just like if I want to write, I know the days that I have scheduled to write uh on the book, I have to put a collared shirt and socks on. Like I just khaki pants on.

SPEAKER_01

I just I imagined smoking jacket and your pipe when you when you're writing. Yeah, just like that has to be.

SPEAKER_02

And there I was. No, it's just a collared shirt and and some khaki pants, and that puts me in the right frame of mind. Like, okay, I'm cleaned up, I'm ready, ready for the day, and do some work. Excellent. And it's only 15 minutes, but you know, gotta be in the words of uh Bluey's dad, Bandit, gotta be done. Gotta be done.

SPEAKER_01

What did I see about Bluey? Oh, there's a channel. Is it a I think a was it a YouTube channel or a channel somewhere I saw that Bluey's music? I should have sent it to you when I saw it. Maybe it'll come up again. I'll send it to you. Like it's a channel dedicated to music from the show or based on the show or something. Yeah, I'll send that to you. I don't know if that'd be a blessing or a curse. How well how good is the music in Bluey? I don't know it well enough.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I would send it directly to Kaylin.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, not welcome at Krampa's house or Pappy's house. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's that's a that's a hard pass. Besides, when Owen comes over here, he wants to play laser tag anyway.

SPEAKER_01

That seems reasonable. And then you want to have uh like hard rock playing, obviously. Yes, Metallica, something like that theme introduce him early theme music from uh Doom. That would be great for Laser Tag.

SPEAKER_02

He uh he wanted to come over and have a sleepover this weekend. Oh, he was very upset that he couldn't because uh the boss is gonna be in Arizona for a week. And I don't I don't not that I wouldn't love to have Odin. Yeah. Um and we would have a great time because we spend a lot of time in the morning together when Gigi's sleeping. Yeah. Uh but I take medication at night, and I'm not gonna have my f six soon-to-be six-year-old grandson in the house sleeping when it I it's just me.

SPEAKER_01

So you're out of your element at that point, too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and and then I wouldn't take it because I would be nervous, and then that's a bad next day for sure.

SPEAKER_01

Then you're then you're wake up punching your grandson in the middle of the night. He's a dream.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, plus he would want to sleep in the bed with me, and no, that is a 62-pound tornado. Absolutely not. We've done that once. Once he likes to sleep in the big boy bed in the guest room.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh and this last time he made a fort in in the race car bedroom. Oh. Um the the fort that we have in there that's that's built like the little loft, uh-huh. Blankets down. Yeah, that's a good thing. Yeah, and he loved it. He slept all night and he slept in while while he was in there. Or sleep there with him.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's his human. Yeah, but yeah, before that, he was sleeping in the in the big queen size bed in the in the guest room. But one time he asked if he could sleep in my bed. And that's the night you slept on the couch. First two hours of sleep I got on.

SPEAKER_01

I bet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't need to deal with that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he was like all over the place, man. He's got arms the size of friggin' tree branches, man. And he would like he just wants to hug you when he sleeps, and he throws that hammock over your neck and you're like choking you. And you it's hard to move him because he will sleep face down, arm over your neck. It's crazy. Anyway, yeah, so he's not gonna be here this weekend. Yeah, um, I'll just be probably trying to be as productive as possible. Go out to Russo, do some yard work and game.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, this this weekend would have been like there. Okay, so you know the multiverse theory. Like there's in some multiverse, whatever we decide in any moment, there's a branch, right? There's a branch of yes, no. So there's a multiverse out there that this was the weekend that Armageddon began while you had all those guys at your house. Could you imagine like you the the fortress that you guys have? You've got you've got medic, you've got food, you've got uh go ahead. Anybody show up within a 10 mile radius, you guys are gonna know it and be ready.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody in this house is really good with a gun in their hands, yeah. Everybody that was here this weekend, like really good, even even bro, former flight medic, now er nurse. Like, he's you you put some steel in his hand and he can do the lord work for sure. So you guys would have been the other SWAT teams, yeah. So and then there's me, yeah. Man, the apocalypse let it happen.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so somewhere, um somewhere that happened this weekend.

SPEAKER_02

I'm disappointed it wasn't this year.

SPEAKER_01

Man, I can't tell you how often that happens in my world. Why why this one? I want to be in that other one where I don't know. I can't even, I'm tired.

SPEAKER_02

I can't think of uh I'm a clown made out of candy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, that's what that one. Why did you bring that into reality? I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Well, now there's a version of us somewhere to the podcast, and we're clowns made out of candy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, huh? Weird. I don't know. I don't know how to think about it, too. Yeah, well, I've got I've got one more story I could give. Should I talk about the thing that happened to work? Yes. Okay, let's talk about that. Yes, please do. Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

This is freaking ridiculous.

SPEAKER_01

This is this is crazy. I I still don't. I'm I'm reeling a little bit from what happened. So a big part of the job that I have uh is called provisioning. So uh potential users or possibly current users of our applications would send in uh uh like a request for access. And my job was to research, find out what level of access they should have, and and then provision that. So we would we would take care of uh new users or users that needed a change in their provisioning. And uh I think I talked about it here on the show November 6th is my last day with the company. Um, but we had the special project. They spent a day talking about this project. We were gonna get maybe a couple hundred users that needed provisioning right away, and it wasn't through the normal channels, it was you know, director level of the company. We've got we've got to do this and we got to do it an unusual way, but you guys figure it out, take care of it. All right, so I was I was on deck the whole day. That was Thursday, then Friday comes around, and uh okay, they've got the list now, and we just need to figure out how to provision. We're gonna run a script, I got all these things going on, working with a couple teams. Well, I it it came to my mailbox, the one that I share with with the other guy, my boss on my team. And so we're we open it up, we're gonna kind of plan how are we gonna get this worked out. And I I had it open for a little bit. I did a couple searches. Okay, what do we got? What are we working with? And then I just happened to catch my name on there. This list was the people that are replacing the people that are laid off or are being laid off. So I now know all of the information about this person in the Philippines that's outsourcing my job. And uh, I realized that while I'm talking to my boss, and and Steve is a good guy. Uh, he's he's very aware of how uh okay, a couple things. Uh work-life balance is important to him. He's aware of how people uh work in today's society. He's he's a good good guy to work with in a situation like this because his response was this is absolutely terrible, this is unethical. Uh, and I told him I don't get offended very often. And I and I don't, I think you can attest to that. I pretty much uh but this is something that is is unbelievable. I can't I can't imagine how this got to this level without without somebody catching it. And I can't blame anybody on my teams because they're working under fire from higher up. Like you guys have to get this done, figured out. Uh so this list got through several people and and eventually landed in my uh on my desktop. So uh and and and in the end, it didn't take long for Steve to just say, you're not gonna work on this project. Uh and and I told him I if you need help, I will, but I'm gonna work on everything else that we normally do. You take care of this, and he did. But it was it was just one of those moments that okay, maybe corporate world isn't for me. If this is what can happen, and I understand mistakes happen, um, but I also believe that there aren't coincidences. I believe that things happen and and we need to pay attention when they do. So, you know, again, is this another another uh indication that this isn't the realm I should work in? And in addition to all the corporate jargon that I can't help but giggle at whenever they use it, we're gonna circle back and uh and they don't say going forward anymore in corporate America. They say go forward. This is our go forward plan. No, this is what we're gonna do going forward. Don't take out one syllable and pretend like you're smarter than me.

SPEAKER_02

That's well, it's becoming it's it's becoming chop speak, like uh in 1984. We're just removing the book, we're just removing words slowly, so we get dumber when we talk, but we sound we think we're sound smart, be good smart boss. Yeah, exactly. That it that it is wholly unethical, yeah. Holy unethical.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was yeah, it was silly. I just yeah, I I don't understand how it got there. And and and fun, this is the funny part. My boss is one that noticed it. You know, you have security levels of files when you open it up in Microsoft. You can see that this is a uh confidential document, yada yada, yada. Well, this one was actually labeled public, and it was funny because you know uh is it public? I can I can find a couple people. Yeah, but you know, it's not it's there again, it's the person the person on my line in that Excel file that's taken my job, uh, is it's not that person's fault. I mean, they're gonna be making uh what an eighth of what I made, probably. Yeah, and I don't know, I'm just guessing. But they just so they're just over there doing their thing, trying to eke a living, and the the company uh that is doing this, I I think is uh it's gross. I can't I can't imagine making those decisions from that perspective. Uh, but you know, again, it's all part of corporate world. I'm not gonna name my company. You can look and find out what that is. I've talked about it before. I'm not gonna name the outsourcer in this case. I just wanted to share that as a like this is the weird world that we're living in these days, and uh yeah, at the at the end of the day, I go back to the book Unoffendable because I did have that moment of being offended and and righteously, and then to re okay, now I can hold on to that and be tired all weekend because I'm I'm a little young. Carrying another burden now. Uh, and this is one that I absolutely took on myself. And and then I could go back and say, you know what? That's that's not what I want my life to be. Um, it's not that person's fault, it's nobody in our company's fault. That thing happened to come to me because of a very unique situation. My boss handled it well. The other person that was involved in it actually, she reached out to me and and said, I I can't believe that I didn't see that. So sorry. Hope you're doing okay. So it's human connections that make the difference, right? It's not the corporate overlords that are managing my life, it's it's me and the the real connections that I have. So that's the story at the end of the day. And I and that is part of the reality of I can feel cruddy about that. I can have a day of feeling funky, uh, a day and a half, maybe a couple days. And and then through that. Yeah, exactly. To feel that, and that's the part you were talking about with the healthy relationships with men, to talk this out and say, okay, I'm not looking for anybody to fix it. I don't need anybody to give me the answer for it. Um, I process by talking, so that's why this works so well for me, right? Uh, and then and then, okay, so I've said it, I've said my piece, I'm still tired. Uh, I'm I'm gonna get some good sleep tonight, and then we're gonna start all over again tomorrow. Like, let's just keep doing the daily thing. And that's part of the reason I'm not calling out either company, is because I'd like to keep my job for the next few months that they'd offered and you're kidding the severance in the end and and uh move on to whatever is next.

SPEAKER_02

But uh yeah, we actually talked about unoffendable here too this weekend. Um, because I was one of the guys that came up asked why we um stopped doing the gray man podcast, and I said, Well, it's because it's it was just rinse, lather, repeat. And I was I was spending a whole week doing research on the topics we were gonna talk about, and it it really anybody who listened to the old podcast, you know how fired up I got about that stuff, like and uh and I would carry that with me through the rest of the day, yeah. And then we got then Unoffendable came around, and it really made me re-evaluate that. That book was kind of like the beginning of the end of the gray man podcast, and um, because Ray and I talk about world events, like anything that happens, he would shoot me a message. Hey man, what do you think about this? Which I appreciate because he's a he's a well-educated man with a wealth of experience, deputy chief of police when he retired. Yeah, um and I appreciate the fact that he would come to me as a subject matter expert for that because I go go to him for um, even when I was still an agent, would go to him for um law enforcement supervisory stuff. Yeah, you know, you have to have people in your life that you understand are better at a thing than you, and don't be so proud that you can't go to them and ask for help. Right. That's another part of that that friendship, that fellowship in that small tenoring circle. Um, and uh, we were just talking about how it's just it's like a clown car in a in a giant circus, is what it feels like right now. It's just it's one folly after the other, and now the new Iranian deal that was signed gives Iran more than they had before we were even fighting. Now they do control the Straits of Hormuz.

SPEAKER_01

It feels fake like it was like it was almost set up like okay, here's what we're gonna do we're gonna attack you so that it can look like we won, but you get more power. Do you guys want to do that?

SPEAKER_02

Are you can we call that the tail wagging the dog, yeah, and in political speak, yeah, and it absolutely feels like that because um the munchkin in the White House needed a war to he felt that it would make him look more powerful. He needed to be a wartime president, and it actually made him look way worse across the US.

SPEAKER_01

He's doing that in a number of ways, but that is yeah, yeah, it's just one of them, right?

SPEAKER_02

And and when we were we were sitting there talking about it, and I was using this tone, like and usually you know me when I talk about before when I talk about political science, I'd get pretty revved up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, your posture would change.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and he even said, like, you're pretty relaxed for this. I'm like, Well, yeah, you know, I just have to go back to the book Unoffendable. It's it's out of my control anyway, and I just have to focus on my sphere of influence and and what I can control at at this level. And when you do that, it's gonna the pendulum's gonna swing far to the left, like super far to the left on the next one, and it'll be you will have just as much to be angry about, and that's the way, in my opinion, politics is gonna be from now on because we've set the standard.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, there's been a shift from that there's not a the there's not a um a conversation. It's uh I need to convince you why you're wrong, and and that's that so that was part of our conversation. I think when you talk about you know what was a point at which we were we were headed for the end of the gray man podcast, I think that was a part of what uh what came from Unoffendable too, right? Because you and I had a couple conversations about hey, what are what are we getting out of this? Like what am what is the positive thing? Because either folks agree with us and they listen because they want to be reinforced, or they don't agree with us and either hate listen or don't listen at all. Who are we trying to sway anybody? And I think that was the realization that we had, like we're not trying to sway anybody. That's I don't I don't need anybody else to feel the way I do or to have my opinions, yeah. So I if if you like the life that I'm leaving, like if I'm leading a good life and there's light that's coming from that that you want to be part of, I am very happy to share that with you. I I I don't need to take someone that has no interest in what my life is and try to convince them that they should be like me. There's there's no benefit in that. I mean, there's there's there's the the Christian mindset of uh you know, we want everybody to be saved, and that's true. And I know some people that are called to do that, that are that are out there recruiting, if you will, whatever, you know, whatever word you want to use for that. There are people that are that are really good at talking to people about the the debates and and the righteousness that comes from being a Christian, and that's great. And if I have an opportunity, I do that. Uh, but when a debate comes up, my reaction, and and I this is this is beyond human. Like, I'm not saying I'm scared of debating people. I think you can attest to that as well. Like, I'll be happy to, but that's not my that's not my gift, that's not my calling. And if I try to do it, I feel like I'm missing the boat. Like, okay, well, I just gave you more fuel for fodder, and maybe that'll come, maybe that'll change. Uh, I think that's important for all of us too. Like, we we shift from we used to we used to have to have everybody believe in what we believed in, and now you know what, this is what we have. And if you like it, here's here's where you can also get more information about it. Ground news, by the way, for that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just come along the journey with us. Yeah, exactly. I I agree with that. My whole life centers around that the the the saying that I have in my gym downstairs, seek usefulness, not respect. And if that appeals to you, man, we can we can run that journey together, but I don't need people to respect me. I don't. I I there was a time in my life where I where I really needed that. That oh yeah, I needed that external validation for a long time until I healed mentally.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, my baggage has been uh needing people to like me. That my my entire being was about being liked, and uh it's taken it's taken a lot of work, and it's boy, this isn't this isn't a normal human existence thing, I don't think, but it's taken me a lot of work to not be liked. Uh like I I have to I have to make okay with that, yeah. And and that's yeah, yeah, I could I could do it, but it was really draining. Um, whereas now I I can let that go. And and sometimes it's difficult, it's it's still difficult, and I think it could be for you as well.

SPEAKER_02

Um there are there are days, but it's it's eas it's much easier to handle. Well, it because I I came from a place where I I I worked hard so that I could be seen um as a human being of worth and value, and and that equated in my brain that I to do that I needed to be respected. Yeah, whereas now I just want to be useful to my community, and that is enough for me. I I mean if you like me, awesome. If you don't, I'm sorry, and I'm gonna sleep fine tonight anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's so many other people that might. Yeah, that's that's kind of where I'm at. Like, I well, if you don't like me, that's fine. And and I just just don't bother me about it. You go go not like me over there. I'm I'm gonna go find somebody that does like me.

SPEAKER_02

So we bring these, we just build these small little communities of of of men that we can that we can bounce ideas off of and share our lives with. Like that so speaking of that, bro, I just gave him three of the vignettes that I wrote from my my combat tours, yeah. That would from during therapy, you know. And I gave him the Ron Unfiltered ones. Wow. And because you know, we we were talking about uh PTSD and CPTSD, which he has CPTSD from his time as a medic and stuff he's seen in the ER. And and and the first thing, sorry, bro, I know uh we haven't pre-discussed this, but and I and I hear this from a lot of people, they'll say, Well, I don't like bringing it up because you know it's not as bad as what you went through. Man, PTSD is PTSD. Your trauma is trauma, and it doesn't you don't have to qualify or quantify it if you've been through it. It's it's okay. It sucks for all of us, so let's just all band together and get through it. And I said, Here's me being vulnerable with you. I'm gonna get send you a couple things so you can see where I'm at, and and you will find that what you have experienced in your life is not very different than save for the the reason why we were there, yeah, the trauma that came out of that.

SPEAKER_01

So we have different paths as men, but we end up we end up in a lot of similar places, I think.

SPEAKER_02

100%. Yeah, and I wish I wish more grown men would realize that. I think we would be in a better place if more grown men realized that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. You're neat you're unique just like everybody else. So let's uh let's band together, fellas. Yeah, yeah. Come on, man. I don't know what what else you got anything left in your tank left.

SPEAKER_02

I knew this was gonna be kind of an easy one, not an easy one, but a shorter one today because it's been a long weekend and and we both kind of had some stuff stuff. Yeah, that's all right. We needed to put one out, and I wanted to, you know, say thank you to to Ray and all the guys that came out here, to you know, Ray and JT and bro and Eli and Tyler and everybody from my gym that showed up at the podcast.

SPEAKER_01

I I'm I'll put at the seminar. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

At the seminar. See, I'm tired.

SPEAKER_01

You're running on fumes.

SPEAKER_02

And uh and supported the gym that way, and and we're and we're just as eager to learn from my coach as I am. I am always so eager to sit and listen to what he has to say because because Ray is he is like a jujitsu scientist, man. I've not met very many people in my career in martial arts that can dissect um the art the way he does, and then make it uh turn it into palatable, bite-sized chunks that are understandable by the masses and still functional across the board, not for a certain type of person, but across the board for everyone. And he does that in every seminar. It's just it's just awesome. I I love learning from him, and I uh if I lived in Sparks, I would be at the gym all the time. I would not own my own gym because I would be training at his, obviously.

SPEAKER_01

But I only that's why you uh that's why you don't live in Sparks. You need to have your own gym. That's a big thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, apparently, we need to spread the community around. Amen.

SPEAKER_01

I guess it real good, spread it on the prairie. That's what you do. I haven't had a spit take yet, still working. Um so I and I want to say, uh just tagging on that, thank you to our uh Patreon subscriber. Um, if if anybody out there, so you've spent this however much time with us. Thank you for listening along, uh, being a solid person. And if if if this anything in this uh touched you in a way that that maybe would make sense to somebody else, forward it on to them, let them know what we talk about here. Uh, and just just a couple dudes, just a couple dudes talking, and we're excited to continue to make this uh grow as well. I think we we have some important things to do together. Um consider subscribing, if you would please, to Patreon. The link is there in the description, and uh we'll be back. We're gonna keep doing this. We're on uh season one, episode five was today, and uh we'll we'll be back again as far as we know next weekend, unless the apocalypse happens in actually happens in this multiverse, yeah. At some point, at some point, or if the internet goes down, or we just really, really, really don't feel like it. That could happen at some point. But even today. Uh today we even had to like talk each other up. Like, no, no, we need to do this. Yep, yeah. But I want to know, but no, no, we gotta do this. Yeah, so here we are.

SPEAKER_02

You you said something about get it together, soldier, or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you're right, you're ready to get yourself organized. Yeah, yeah. So we started out, then we're good to go. So, yeah, all right. We'll we'll see you again next time. Uh in the meantime, make sure you get some rest. We don't know what uh what our God has in store for us next or whatever, whatever you've got going on in your life. Um, if you're not rested up for it, like we're gonna do the rest of the day, then you'll be a bit funny.
