This week, the spotlight is on Annie.

From partying her way through Melbourne’s nightclub scene, to climbing the corporate ladder in finance, to quitting it all to start her own business… Annie’s path has been anything but conventional.

In this episode, Annie shares the messy, honest, and often unexpected journey that led her to create Flow in Cycle and ultimately co-create Blood & Guts.

We talk about what it felt like to be completely disconnected from herself, using partying and hard drugs to escape, chasing success that didn’t feel like her own, and later believing she was doing everything “right” only for her health to completely fall apart.

When Annie’s periods became heavy, painful, irregular and completely unrecognisable, she found herself searching for answers that no one seemed able to give. That search led her down a path of learning about the menstrual cycle, reconnecting with her body, and discovering a version of health that had nothing to do with perfection.

In this episode, we cover:

  • Growing up as a gymnast and feeling lost after school.
  • The party years, addiction, and searching for purpose.
  • Life in corporate finance and why it never felt like home.
  • Finding yoga and redefining what health really means.
  • The hormonal symptoms that changed everything.
  • How learning about her menstrual cycle transformed her relationship with her body.
  • The journey that led to creating Flow in Cycle.

This episode is a reminder that your story doesn’t have to make sense while you’re living it. Sometimes it’s only when you look back that you realise every chapter was leading you exactly where you were meant to be.

If Annie’s story resonates with you, we’d love you to share this episode with someone who might need the reminder that it’s never too late to change direction.
