Hello! This month, Gina and Kelly sit down with culinary instructor Kate Oscavich. In this episode, “Driven* with Empathy,” Kate shares with us how her desire to do more for her community inspired her to transition from the restaurant industry to education. She explains how her time working in kitchens gave her the opportunity to experience and understand the need for empathy in the culinary world and how this goal can be accomplished when students are taught through building self-confidence rather than fear.
