I'm a mindset coach, and I'm here to help you banish your negative thinking and limiting beliefs. So you can bring love, clarity, and joy into your life.
This is actually a very exciting and special episode of the show. Many of you watch the podcast or listen to the podcast, watch the videos. Maybe you follow me on social media, but not everybody has had one-on-one coaching with me. Even those that watch mindset Monday. Might have an idea of what one-on-one coaching is like, but unless you've actually been on a call with me, if you, one of my clients, then it's quite a unique experience and it's definitely custom tailored to every single person I work with.
You. One-on-one to get to the bottom of what is going on in your world. What's going on in your story and how you can move past that, to work your way into the ideal reality that you want to be in. So I decided to let you in on the whole coaching side of what we do here at Roxy talks and share that with the communities that.
Experienced when a coaching session is like, learn from a person in your community. That's just like you that's manifesting their world. That's working on making their dreams come true. And here, the kinds of things that other people are going through, the kinds of limiting beliefs they're going through.
What types of advice you can get in one-on-one coaching, if you're interested and even if not, you can at least get some value from the information that we do talk about, because of course, all of it is valid for any situation that we're discussing whether or not this is your personal circumstance or not the infamous.
Still works for everybody. So here is a peek into one-on-one coaching with me. If you'd like to sign up for your own session, Roxy talks.com is where you can do that. Thank you so much to Elena for agreeing to be coached on camera and share that with the community. And Elena actually won this opportunity during our mindset Monday weekly live stream chats.
I will now be giving away an opportunity to get. This little coaching session that will be shared with the community during mindset Mondays, we're doing giveaway. Here and there, I'm not going to say exactly when you got to come live to enjoy it and to get the opportunity, but hopefully you can make it and join us.
One of these days, mindset Monday live on YouTube and in the Facebook group, black moon society. And we go live in the afternoon, PST every Monday. So without further ado here is my one-on-one session with Elena from the community. Thank you so much. Enjoy welcome Elena to the Roxy talks podcast. This is our first official.
Onscreen live coaching that we've done. So I'm excited that you are first because you're not only a member of the community, but you're one of our moderators on mindset Monday. So yes. Thank you. It's exciting. And I was really excited when you won. Um, just, you know, I know you're, you're friends with Leanne and then so it's been, it was nice to, you know, meet somebody that's like part of the fam and stuff.
So got it. Um, so. We're just gonna like do a little mini coaching session here and kind of get like a little experience of what it's like to have one-on-one and. Have me kind of help break down your situation. So why don't you give me like a quick elevator pitch? Where are you at what's going on with whatever you're manifesting?
Kind of let me know, like what's, what's the deal as of right now.
So basically I'm kind of wanting to like, um, pick up where we left off from my super chat a couple of weeks ago. Um, because I'm really wanting to basically. Super-charge all of the things that I've been doing over the last year to manifest, to work through, um, a lot of blocks and leaves.
And I, I have made a lot of great prob progress for sure. Um, but I, I am recognizing, and in a few areas, like, I feel like I'm hitting a wall. More, just like a lot of the same thing. Like why do I resist certain things that are, I know are beneficial for me.
I asked myself the same thing every day, so you're not alone there.
I do that myself.
Um, go ahead, continue.
Um, and I know last time we kind of touched on meditation. That was one of the things, but I do want to pursue a lot of other things like in, in health and fitness, but also music is also something that I'm wanting to pursue as well. And I have an amazing community of musicians around me, so I have constant inspiration.
But I just it's. It's that? Uh, beginning stage they're just getting started getting
started. When's your birthday?
March
22nd. Okay. Okay. So you're at 22 4. Okay. Let me just read to you from my little numerology books so that before we get, even into what we know, like what we're working with. And so we can just look at like, what kind of patterns are going to be.
In your, your story and your programming just naturally by the fact of that your soul chose to come here on the 22nd day of the month. Okay. So I'm 22 fours are visionaries leaders. They're masterful, you're organized. You're the type of people that, um, can found businesses or, or institutions, lots of power, but lots of responsibility.
Um, they call you a visionary with a fear of flying. We have a great ability to think broadly and dream big. But then of course the other side of that coin is that crippling fear of not being able to achieve that and kind of getting in the way of that I'm fearful of your own ambitions, maybe feeling undeserving or, um, you know, not good.
To achieve or not able to achieve. And so that can lead you to maybe dumbing down your goals or like settling for less, because the ultimate fear of, of failing, you're like, I'll just settle for less than I know I can get, but, um, just be careful of feeling overwhelmed by this. Because you're not nurturing yourself worth and your value.
That's a really important for, um, 20 anybody that's born on, um, the 22nd of the month or a number that leads up that adds up to 22, determined, hardworking, great, you know, like getting the job done. But again, you have to work against your own lack of direction or, um, even be careful of being taken advantage of by other people who.
Might, you know, see your abilities to create. And then
so anyways, okay. So as we go on, tell me about, you said that you have like some like blocks and beliefs specifically. What are those specifically that we're talking about?
Um, I guess it's really just more like a resistance to, like, I know this is good for me. I know this would help them along their path.
And then
I just like, whether the excuse might be sometimes it's too hard or I get all whiny about it. And, um, I will say they'll actually since, uh, the super chat I've been. With the exception of when I was out of town, I've been meditating every day, even if it's
just a few minutes. Yeah. So, yes. Okay.
But I think the one that I had the most, like maybe concern over is probably music, um,
like being successful in it, or like what's your, um, or your biggest block.
Uh, it's just like spending time practicing and holding the skill is the part that is the focus, um,
that you're not getting.
Yeah. I'm just not kind of forcing myself to spend time. Right.
okay. All right. So let's talk about that. Forcing. Why would you have to force yourself to do something? That's your greatest passion?
That's a question I've been asking
myself, let's think about it. Why do you have to force yourself?
I have one thing that could potentially be a part of it. Um, when I was a kid, there was a story that my mom told me that, uh, when she found out she was pregnant with me, she was really like, just nervous. She had just had.
Uh, baby, not that long ago, it was like been a year and a half, my older sister. And, um, I think it was a lot of pressure for her and she, you know, after she found out she was just driving home and she had pulled up to the stoplight and there was this truck in front of her and there was a player piano in the back of the truck and she just felt like she had like instantly got this like feeling of comfort, comfort, and safety about the whole thing.
Um, and had received like a message. Saying that like music is going to be a big part of her life. And I know for sure that I've held resentment over my parents, not like really investing in that in my life and me and music lessons and things like that. And I don't hold as much resentment around that as I used to.
But I think that that's a part of it. Like maybe I want to hold on to that resentment.
Yeah. Right. Um, I'm sorry, I don't know if you noticed my cat just joined in the car. I'm trying to take notes and she's like head budding my hand. Um, you know, so what I noticed that was interesting is that, you know, we have this resentment of your parents didn't invest in your music.
So now I'm not going to, you know, you're kind of doing that. So it's like, you are, you're carrying out the sentence that you're so pissed. That they did unknowingly. And now you're repeating that pattern. You're kind of doing the same. So, um, so the resentment let's go down that road of that, like, sorry, I'm gonna pretend like I don't have this cat is laid on my headphone and we put our tail at me.
Um, let's talk about the resentment. What, what were they doing instead of helping you blossom and. Nourish your dreams. Um,
I guess maybe the way that I would describe it is they were focused on their relationship and arguing and not really focusing on me and my sister and building, helping us build a future for ourselves.
And. You and your sister, did you guys have, like how much responsibility was on you to take care of yourself or parent yourself or do that kind of work? Oh, there's the other kitty.
This is added benefit to watching the podcast and not just listening. Cause now you have two cats.
I should be watching this.
Um, but to answer your question, like it was just. There was not a lot of I've over the last couple of years, I've had to go through a big period of reparenting myself, a lot of ways. Um, and disciplinary ways and small things, as far as cleaning up after myself, that's something that was really taught to me as a kid.
Right, right. Okay. Yeah. That makes sense. You have to be, you know, uh, how old are you? 31 31. Yeah. Okay. So it's understandable at this age to not have been instilled with some of these skills and to have to learn them at this age, it feels hard. It feels daunting, especially because. Responsibility was not instilled in you.
So it's almost like doubly hard and you're a 22 slash four. Your whole thing is about building. And so it's like, it's all these things that keep, like, I keep you want to use the word building, building on each other over it's almost. I see like the snowball, just like growing and growing with the same story, but like different layers of it.
We've just re you know, blossoming or like becoming fruitful in all these different areas of your life. Like, just like the same layer story of, okay. Let me ask you a question. Cause I just heard something in my head. I just want to ask this resonates with you. Like, does it w do you feel like you need, did you already say this?
You need someone. Come rescue you or come help you or come do these things or like someone just like, come take care of me or like, show me the way. I don't know if that resonates with you, but
does, um, it definitely does. I do. I do feel as a whole, I work better with people like on a team. I have a harder time.
I have a more challenging time getting, like taking, taking the brunt of it by myself and, um, Not feeling like supported in it.
Okay. Not feeling supported. Um, that's going to be something that I would say that's, that's a good way to kind of like sum up. Like what your childhood, you know, situation was like, and sounds like this, the continuous cycle that you're in.
And then because of that, because you weren't supported, you weren't shown what support looks like necessarily. You are not able to create your own self support system is kind of like what it seems like what's missing right now is like, you need like a self support system and maybe like a, so tell me about yourself.
Like, do you do well with structure or are you better? Like free flowing or like, how do you work? Well,
I come in and out of it. I like some structure, but I also do like free flowing and, you know, I I'm good enough at putting pressure on myself without added pressure.
So, so my suggestion to you would be to start, and I don't know how much of this you're doing, but how, how, like, how scheduled are you with your time and your calendar as far as it comes, like, as far as doing your work stuff, your career stuff, your passion stuff, your free time, yourself, love stuff.
Like, do you schedule that kind of stuff into your calendar?
I don't schedule it, but I, I have a loose structure to my day, I guess. Like I do have like my morning routine and like, I'm like my spiritual practice that did you every day, like that is something that I have gotten in the habit of for sure. Um, and I've added meditation into that.
So I have some structure it's just like, it's not quite where I want it to be like. And also just like, I've been learning. And then going through the big leap and stuff and learning more about Einstein time and not be feeling pressured by time as well
is a part of it because you multiply time. Um, and, and how are you with discipline?
That's been a struggle for me as well. It's gotten
better for sure. Yeah. And what do you do for work? I
do a multitude of things. Um, I do a grocery. I worked for a conflict contractor job for. Shopping and delivering groceries, but I do pet-sitting from time to time and do some personal assistant work as well.
Um, so you're kind of like in charge of your own schedule to some, to some degree. Okay. Okay. Okay. And, and how, um, how much do you work? How burnt out are you, how much free time do you have
it changes? Um, because I can control my schedule. It changes, um, last week was a very full week just with like the pressure of bills coming up and all that.
But, um, I do try to like balance all of that out because I don't want to be married to my job at least, especially a job that I don't see myself pursuing long-term.
And is music where you see yourself? That's one of the
things that I would, yeah,
for sure. Um, Okay. So.
For sure your meditation is crucial and I'm glad that you're getting into the habit of it. And I know it's kind of hard when you're on vacation, especially like if there's people, if you're with other people, it's like, I need my 15 minutes of quiet time when they're like, why w who are you? What are you talking about?
So I understand. So it's good that you get right. You don't get back into it when you get back home and stuff. Um, are you doing your scripting? Yes. Okay. Okay, good. Okay. So I think there's a few things that for you that would, we want to go, we want to do like first things versus I always see just a rewrite of your story.
Like we all could use any, literally any day of the week, you could rewrite your story. You could rewrite your story every single day of the week, and it probably would benefit you so much, but I'm just basically like looking at where you're at 3d. Where are we at right now? And like, where are we trying to go?
What would be ideal? What would we like today? Um, you remind me so much of myself, a lot of the things he said, remind me of me. So like, I don't know about. My goals are not always the same. Like I don't always have the same goals every day. And so sometimes it's hard for me to lock in on something because some days I want the yacht and the, this and that, then other days I'm just like, leave me the fuck alone.
I want to go live in peace. I don't want to talk to anybody ever again, some days I'm just like, yeah, I could just hang out here for the rest of my life. This is enough. And so it's like, I have to find things that. I know I will want, or like, you know what I mean? Like either way, this is going to have to be part of the deal.
And so like making sure that you're finding something that you can stick to that does work for you. You're you're every day you're doing a 360 and you're cycling your thoughts through, and you're choosing and you're paying attention, and this is where the discipline is going to come in. So part of your homework is going to be to start disciplining yourself a little bit more and.
In general. I think that's part of your life path lesson anyways. Um, obviously your, your soul came here to learn, to be disciplined. That's your life's purpose. So, and it's interesting. Cause I was just listening to Tony Robbins right before we got on. And he said something to the effect of it's going to come to me as soon as I finish this sentence, he said, um, oh, okay, here we go.
Here we go. Here. We got something. Um, I, oh God. Okay. It's right there. I'm going to paraphrase. Discipline. Discipline is the weight of a penny or a pebble discipline is the weight of a pebble. Whereas regret is the weight of a Boulder. Ooh. So doing those little things every day and just making yourself take that extra step of like pushing yourself into it is so much less to carry around than the feeling of, I should've wish I would've.
Should've just, I knew I should've got you should see why don't you just do it right now? Like that yelling at your, like all of that, that, that voice is so unproductive. So. I think that part of what we want to do for you is we're going to start working on discipline of the mind, discipline of the sentences that we're speaking discipline of the reactions and then discipline of the daily habits, but in a loose way so that you don't feel too rigid.
So where you feel like closed off and you can't. Function and flourish. Cause I can't like, I don't like feeling trapped. So as soon as something feels too rigid, I'm like, no, thanks. Hey, just popping through to remind you if you'd like to sign up for your own one-on-one coaching session, where we discuss exactly what's going on in your world and I help you pinpoint what you can do to help you change your reality.
You can sign up for one-on-one coaching at my website, Roxy talks.com. One thing I would suggest is like, Maybe trying to set a schedule for yourself. Maybe you can make all of your, instead of trying to cram for the, when bills come, or I know your nickname is cram. Oh, she's like me. Um, um, like we know that bills come this time, like look at your calendar.
So maybe I for the two weeks before bills stack on three extra jobs a week or whatever, I'm just making things up so that I can have the extra income. Just slowly building before bill time. And then after bills get paid, maybe I, maybe you take a week off. Maybe you can. I bet you could condense your week, your schedule into three weeks worth of stuff versus a month worth.
Right. And then considering that, so, and this is just one option, you know, or you can do, I'm doing all of the, this jobs dates work on the first Tuesday and the third or, you know, your. Condensing the things that would normally take you all day to kind of like trudge through or Drudge through whatever, the more direction, um, and, and putting it all together in one day.
Like today I'm filming all my podcasts for the month so that I'm not every Monday. Going from makeup to mindset to podcast, and then just emotionally drained, Tuesday, social media, email podcasts, publishing, and it's so much. And so if you can condense things, break them up and, and move them around. So it makes sense for you free up some of your time.
So you feel less constricted, but also free to where you actually want to do your work now because you have more time to breathe. And then. Um, and then obviously you're gonna be working on your 360. You're gonna be meditating in the morning. We're listening to our thoughts. We're paying attention to what we're saying.
We're paying attention to our reactions. Meditation helps a lot with that. You're going to be listening to positive content, which I already know you're doing. Cause you're doing mindset and, you know, podcasts and affirmations and just keeping the, the con the content going on in your. Uh, productive. This is going to help you with your discipline.
And then what else is going to help you with your discipline is putting these things in your schedule, getting your schedule to something that you actually can manage. That's doable. That works for somebody that is an entrepreneur self-starter type like you like, okay. I have a lot of time and I'm worth a lot of money and I need to do.
Charging for it and acting like that. So these are the hours I'm doing this period. You're not catching me doing this outside of this. I'm just saying, just having a little bit of like, like put some boss, bitch attitude onto your schedule, maybe a little bit, but also for the, for the purpose of now, I'm also going to have from two to four on every Tuesday or something, I'm having a jam session.
And if I don't have someone to come Jan with me that I'm picking up. It's whatever instrument I'm doing something, or I'm writing lyrics, or I'm going to edit this other thing. And like, um, you're going to work your music into your schedule, the way that everything else is so that you're getting in that, that shit that brings me joy stuff.
And that's also your homework for this week from mindset Monday. So hopefully. Your daily should, that brings me joy. But, um, so that's like, that's like the practical stuff. And then as far as like manifesting and language goes is like, okay, you were kind of set up to have to have this mountain to climb of self motivation, self support.
Self-belief, self-trust, self-discipline follow through things like. So those are the kinds of words and like the themes that you want to, that you can, um, like literally, I mean, I seriously mean like go to thesaurus.com and like, I'll send you this recording also go to the source.com and look up those words.
And then all of those, all the synonyms, any one of those you can use as I am affirmations or like,
What do I thinking? Like it's like pieces, like pieces of structure to build your new story and to build your language because it's okay. If you weren't shown that support as a child, but not giving it to yourself now is why you're staying. Because what you want is support and structure and follow through and go bitch, go to your lesson, you have your music lesson, go to it.
Like that's what you want. You kind of want that. I think it sounds like you're craving that structure that a child needs that is like, like setting up in the life for you. This is how you life go do your thing. I pay for your soccer. Go and get your soccer shoes off. Oh, yeah. So, so it's like, I think that you're missing that for yourself right now.
And so that's going to be, your challenge is to like, how can I show up that way for myself in the most loving way and like not shy away when it's time to be the disciplinarian or the, um, Nope. It is the word discipline. So when I was like, no, I worked at another D word. It was disciplined. Yes. The disciplinarian.
And not that that's a bad thing, but the one that enforces it, like. You're going to your piano lesson. I don't care if you don't want to play, like whatever you said you wanted to play last month, you were not. I, I pay for eight lessons. You are going to your panelists, just like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, I think that you somehow you're craving that. Like, oh yeah,
I have no problem. Like following direction if someone gives
it. Okay. So. Just to even start because even just the language is the start so I can follow my own direction. I trust myself and we were talking about that trust thing. I trust myself to set my schedule, to choose my shit, to set my life up.
I mean, obviously you're doing fine so you can trust yourself. That's not a lie. So start using that affirmation to help. Build your I'm going to use the word trust again, but like your, your trust and your certainty in yourself that like, I'm going to set the schedule. I'm going to enforce it for myself.
I'm going to follow through, you know? So like you say, you say, okay, so you said that I can be the, um, I can follow through if someone else does the.
Finger pointing or whatever. Right. So from now on, let's change that to, and I'm, I'm even better when it's me or something like that. Like, I'm so good at motivating myself. I'm a, self-starter like, maybe you should just like put that as your I'm Elena. Self-starter like, I don't know. I'm just thinking of different ways you can start, like considering yourself so that you can break free from this story.
It's one thing to not have. Been shown how to support yourself and how to, how to do these things, uh, and, and keep the structure and push, push past your limitations. But if you keep saying that you're not going to push past it. So the first thing you can do the first and best thing you can do is like, say something else about your ability to do this stuff.
And that's why I always harp on stuff on mindset Monday. I'm just like, Just say something different. I know it's hard. I know it sucks. I know it's been a long time. I know. And I know that I get it because I am the same way and nothing changed in my life until I stopped talking like that. It was the talking like that.
That was keeping me it wasn't the action. I'm not, I was, I'm a hard worker. I'm a fucking work out. My problem is I work too much. I have to learn how to not work. So like, it's not that that was a problem. You know, it wasn't that I didn't work hard enough to make it. It was, I was saying shit that wasn't allowing me to make it.
Yeah, I had to do anything to make anything, sorry, cat, but I'm not already it as it is right now. Like, uh, excuse me. It is this now I'm this incredible blah, blah, blah. Everything is falling into place now. And watch me shine. I may not have been raised with all of these whatevers, but I'm not taking on that story anymore.
And so you're recognizing when you're, when you're. Like I said earlier, shying away, or like when you went away from something or when you get that, like not in your stomach or that like kind of feeling that's when you're like, okay, that's the thing I got to do. You go towards it and you ask, you know, like, what's this about?
Or how could I help you or I'm going to make this easier, or why does this hurt? What does it remind me of, you know, it's you just, you go towards it instead of running from it, because it's that running from it. That is keeping all of the problems here in place that you're talking about. Yeah. So any questions, do you feel like that?
Um,
yeah, for sure. Overall, like there is that like, uh, the way that you had talked about like, especially like the four and all of that. Very much resonates with me. Cause like, as, as long as I can remember, I have felt this like strong, like just like ability to do things, but it just like, I wasn't the stories I grew up hearing from my parents didn't match that.
Right. And so it's like, you know, that's and then that stuff is the stuff that they grew up hearing from their parents who like probably grew up around the depression. Yeah. Like why are we listening to them? I mean, granted, maybe like some of the ideas might be smart at this point in time, but like overall, we need to not be holding ourselves to the standards of people who were living in a completely different world than we're living in.
Yeah. It's, it's, it's great that that's how they were taught and what they learn. It got them where they are now. Thanks for getting me where I am now and now is where I say. Toodaloo to that old shit. Cause no, I'm not going to live my life. According to these old ideals that don't work in, today's modern society in today's modern society.
You need to know how to add value and know that you're the fucking shit and deserve to get value back for it. That's how you survive in today's world. And if you don't know that you suffer. And it's not about being conceited or being, trying to be better than anybody else. It's about trying to be the best that you can be for yourself.
You're in competition with yourself. You are only trying to be better, feel better, say better things. Treat yourself better. Spend your time in a more peaceful. You know, relaxing or fulfilling way every day, that's the goal of life. So, and when you do that, and then you add in the part of you that drives you to, to create or to share or whatever, it's something there's always something that we want to do.
Outwardly, we all have this thing that we want to give to the world in some way, if you just follow that thing. And then you said something about money too, that I wanted to just quickly touch on. It's just. Oh, you said the pressure of bills. That's what it was. If your bills are always paid, what do you mean?
What pressure? And so you want to catch yourself. You want to catch yourself anytime you think about bills. Anytime you talk about money, anytime you talk about your jobs. Anytime you talk about the hours you have, the hours you don't have, where you're going, how much it's going to cost, how capable you are, what research sources you have.
If you're able to invest. If you're not able to do like. The story of money and worth and ability and the things that hold us back happen in like, you know, like 30 times a minute, sometimes every single day, it's just in so many thoughts. And so this is why I always talk about 360 and just making sure that you're really paying attention to what it is that you're doing with your thoughts all day, because they're just making your world happen.
And if you want something different, you've got to pay attention and then do different things. So. There is no pressure of bills because bills are always taken care of when you need them. And so whenever you think about a bill you want to push through with a thought of, oh, that's already paid, or it's already taken care of, or the money will be there when I need it.
I'm not worried even when you're worried. And like one thing I noticed about me in the last, just in the last few days is like, I have a, an addiction. Or at least a pattern of warring I'm addicted to worrying itself. And I noticed like the other day something I've been like working through stuff, something came through that like cleared a big thing for me.
And I was like, that's really awesome. And then five minutes later, it's like, well, what about this? You know, and it's like a mother fucker, like, oh no, no, no, no. So now I'm just really paying attention to when I start to feel that worry in my body, which feels like anxiety to me, I'm not sure how it feels to you, but when I feel it.
I'm like, Nope, we're not worrying. We're not, we're not feeding that beast anymore. And just trying to be really present with what's going on in my body when it happens, figuring out why, and then redirecting that stream all in the moment that that is going on. And that's why the awareness and discipline is so important.
But when you can do that, it makes your life so much better. You save so much time. That normally was, would be spent on spiraling or feeling like shit or thinking of all the things you don't like. And not only do you save that time, you also save that eventual manifestation of all that stuff coming about later, which hopefully if you're doing the work, when it does come about, you're not triggered into acting the same old way, which puts you back into the same, all bad thinking, the same old thoughts, again, doing the same old thing.
So awareness and discipline at every stage. Super crucial meditating again, will help with the reacting to your old realities that you can stay present. Um, and your goal right now is to support yourself and to learn, to support yourself without running, you know, like how do I support myself without running when it feels like I want to run and how do I be that person that tells that I listened to.
When it's time for a structure when it's time for, you know, how do I be the person I listen to? And those are the things that you can like meditate on. You could do some journaling, like how can I better support myself? What does it feel like when I'm not supported? Why? You know, just like asking questions about, um, you know, what can I do to better manage my time?
Why do I feel stuck in these areas? What can I do? Non-stock myself. Just, I mean, it's just kind of like, self-diagnosis like looking at what's wrong and then asking yourself questions about that. Like we'll break through those layers so you can see what, like, what is that nugget at the bottom? And it's usually just you as a child being ignored or.
Parents are fighting. I need attention. There's nobody here. Maybe my sister, I don't know, but maybe not because she's a child too, and she needs attention also. So, so I mean, you've probably had to turn to yourself a lot, you know, and have a, you have a lot of strength and independence use that as evidence that you can do this, you actually do listen to yourself.
You actually are capable of this. And just keep like pushing through these, these. Old notions and these mean thoughts that just don't really serve you when they come up. Yeah. Do you have any other questions? Um,
I,
I, no. I think that all, all applies to really any area that I. I would like to see more growth in,
in March. And the other thing about that, that is cool is that it's probably going to be the same thing. You're doing the same thing there too. So once you can recognize the behavior, then you can see when you're doing it on money.
When you're doing that in relationships, when you're doing on yourself, when you're doing it on career, when you're doing it on, I already said relationships, but I also meant like, love relationships. And then like family. Um, you know, coworkers or things like that too, so it's everywhere, but again, once you figure it out and once you're doing the awareness discipline, it's a lot easier to catch it in the moment and be like, oh, that's interesting.
There's that? You know, and then just send it away.
I'm also having another realization too, just like to share if this helps anyone. Um, that's listening. Like, uh, I find that like, it's easy to ha like I'm learning that I I'm noticing that I have discipline in areas. Like when it comes to like, well, I gotta make money for this and dah, dah, dah.
And, but then like, When it comes to passion projects, I'm not giving back to myself. It's it's, you know, I, I can find the discipline to schedule myself for work because I do make my own schedule, but is that really serving me in the long run? Because I don't see myself doing this forever. Do I see myself being surrounded by music program?
Yes, absolutely. Yet. I have more discipline and areas that are not like joyful as joyful. As music is
because money making money is not fun. It's hard, it's boring and music doesn't make money, right? Like it seems like that's what's underneath those things. You were just saying,
I hadn't thought about it that way, but
you know, because like most of us, most people who are, you know, American, if you're middle to lower class, whatever, like you grew up, you grew up with the idea that money comes from work.
More money comes from hard work. Yeah, no money comes from bumbling around like an artist or, you know what I mean, doing those things that you can't like go and get out and get a job for. And the
instant gratification as well that I get from, like music is something it's like, you know, it's a trade off for a long-term
game.
It's it's so funny that you say that. Is it not the total actual, complete fucking opposite music is an instant gratification. It instantly makes you feel better. Working in a job instantly makes you feel like shit. And you have to wait for your paycheck is literally the opposite of what you just said.
Well, that's interesting because in my case, I can withdraw like the same
day even. So you have to work those hours. It's like it's and it's in misery. Or even if it's an apathy. It's not in fucking joy. It's,
I've realized the job that I do is in my zone of it's somewhere between confidence and excellence.
I'm good at it,
but yeah, that's a fucking job girl. Nobody wants a job. No, the pandemic has shown us anything. It's that nobody wants a job. No one likes a job jobs. Don't like the jobs help the person you're working for. Like, they keep you. In survival mode, they keep you alive. They keep you just above water if you're lucky.
Um, but the note, the model of like thinking that job is money and a job is survival, and that you have to work and do all these things and that it's not the passion doesn't bring money is that's what they want you to think to keep you at their company working so that they can be out doing their passion, not working.
So. Just think, look at things from a different perspective, you have time, you have a schedule that you can be free with and flexible with. And why not just take a month and see what happens with you're just like, and it's it's Hey, it's February shortest month of all 28 days to. Just see what happens if you're like really structured and you stick to this, like, that's, that's kind of what happened with 30 days of alignment.
It's how I started. I was like, I'm just going to not be a bitch for 30 days. Let's see what happens. Well, I've changed. So, um, just try it, see if you could give yourself a challenge 28 days, I'm going to set a schedule. Like when we get off set yourself a countless schedule, put music in every single day.
Something, even if it's just like warming up or playing a couple of songs or whatever, whatever it is that you play or do. Working in there. And then schedule some time to meet up with the musicians that you were saying. You have a lot of musicians in your area, and then other things that you like to do, also not just musics, that you can start to see the value of being in your, just enjoy alone.
Not in, in like I'm making music. Cause ultimately I'm trying to convince myself that music is the answer to my freedom and I need to make me millions of dollars in the music industry to be free and stuff like that's a lot of pressure on your passion. Yeah. So it's like, if you could just understand that money's going to come to you no matter what, just from you being passionate and then you just do your music, the rest of it will come along.
That's what the world wants you to want to understand, but it takes a real dedication to that, to that belief to really see the results of it. Yeah. It's real. You can do it.
If I can create one habit of scripting and other things like doing,
you've done a lot of habits. They just don't serve you. Yeah. So you can do it.
Yeah. You're already manifesting your world. Yeah. You just need to control the way you conceive of it. Yes. You know, it's not that much. It's not that much that you have to do. You don't have to do a lot of stuff. You just have to look at yourself and the world differently.
It's not that hard.
So, let me know how it works for you. Keep us posted on Monday. We'll find out how you're doing
and thank you so much for sharing with the community and being brave and, um, sharing your story with everybody. It's going to help a lot of people. I know, I know so many people are right where you're at and just want to embrace their true selves and. I can tell you, cause I did it. You have just do it, just go after the thing that you want to create doesn't exist yet.
That's why you can't see it. You don't know what it is. And it feels like a big question, mark, because it's not, it doesn't exist yet. Roxy talks did not exist until I made it. So you got to make that thing and make your own lane. And once you're there, it'll make a lot more sense, but just. Go forth with the notion that like you're a new, you, it's a new time.
You have a new story who you were to get here is no longer the story anymore. You're not the kid that was unsupported and doesn't know how to hit. Your new story is the new story. You're a fucking four you're at not even just a four year old, 22 4. So it's divinely gifted as well. You're a divinely gifted builder.
You're not just a builder. Not that fours are not any not great, but like a 22, 4 has a divine element to it. Okay. So you're here to do something, just lean into it. Yeah.
Yeah, so excited. I appreciate this so much. Thank you, Elena. And thank you for your wonderful moderation skills on mindset Monday. They'll love it
two years ago. And so I've already manifested this so far, so,
so you've seen me like you see me grow. I just have just, I just keep doing the things. I just keep meditating and listening to what they say.
Doing my art and putting it out. So just keep showing up. That's all I'm doing. You know, half the battle is the rest of it's autopilot. Yes. It's that pushing yourself to go to the gym once you're there working out, it's not hard. And you know, it's like, it's doing the thing it's making yourself do it.
That's that's the hardest part. The rest of it's just like, Hey. So I keep, I always say that this is Sparta kick, just kick. This is Sparta yourself into the pit of doing and, or thinking or whatever it is being and just embrace it.
All right. Well, I appreciate you later. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Roxy.
Thank you. I'll see you on Monday. Yes. Thank you so much for tuning in this week. I hope you enjoy this episode and I hope you were able to get some good information from Elena's story and understand that whatever it is. Standing in your way.
If you're paralyzed by fear, if you don't know where to start, the first thing you should do is use your language to turn the tide. It's like kick-starting it's stalled engine. Instead of saying that you're stuck or any number of things that you could say or repeat about your situation, say the opposite.
Say that it's unfolding. Say that it's working and get the tides turning in the direction that will work for you and actually help you move. Forward. And if you'd like to sign up for your own one-on-one coaching session, you can do so@roxytalks.com or if you don't want to wait to get on my calendar, I've got great courses and workshops you can get started on right now.
