Welcome To Something Real
SPEAKER_00Hey friend, welcome to the first episode of Something Real. I'm excited. This is different than what my podcast has been in the past because I am different. And I wanted to give you something so important, I think, as we kick off this next chapter in the podcast. But I think in this new journey, we're going to walk out together. So I want to take you back to a moment not so long ago where I sat in my house and I felt completely overwhelmed. And I remember thinking, I cannot keep doing life like this. I don't know if that's ever happened to you, but I was feeling that to my inner core. I was frustrated though, because on the outside everything looked successful. I had built the multi-seven figure business. I had the teams, I had the experience, I had the income, the home, the family, all of the things on the exterior. But on the inside, I was exhausted. I was disconnected and I didn't feel like myself anymore. And I think that's the part no one really talks about. Because sometimes it's not that your life is falling apart, it's that it no longer fits who you're becoming. And so over the last couple of years, I've life has stretched me in a season that I did not expect. I walked through a season where I felt like I was losing everything at once. I had a business that I lost that was our providing income. Um, I no longer aligned with it, and I chose to walk away. My health started to personally decline because of the stress. Then my husband was diagnosed with chronic illness, and I just was trying to hold it together for my family and my seven kids. And somewhere in the middle of all that, I lost myself. Not completely, but enough to where I knew some things had to change. And I think as women, especially moms, we get really good at pushing through. We keep showing up, we keep taking care of everyone else, and we keep building, producing, and doing. But we don't always stop and ask ourselves, does this life still feel like mine? And for me, when I asked that question, the answer was no. And here's what shifted, friend, for me. I didn't burn everything overnight. Although I left a business, I didn't just up and upheaval my life. I didn't have a perfect plan and wait till everything was aligned and I could make a transition. But I did make one decision. I was not going to build a life that looked good anymore. I wanted to start building a life that felt right. And I hope you heard what I just said, because so often we're we're in what we think we should do or what the world has told us. But when the feeling is off inside, that is usually sirens going off saying, out of alignment, usually out of God's alignment for us. And that's what I felt. And I've decided no more, no more at 50. I am going to slow down and give myself permission to find peace in this process. I'm going to come back to who I am as a woman, and I'm going to let some things go, and I'm going to embrace some new. And I had to step away, guys, from people and things and what people were telling me I shouldn't do. It was so challenging. But I had to be honest about my health, my energy, my priorities. And most importantly, I had to come back to myself for me. Not the version of me that everyone expected, but the version of me that God was calling me to be. He was calling me back because God has that perfect plan for us. And it's when we sit in that thin place and we really get into that wilderness and we speak to him and pray and just let him help clarify, everything shifts. And so that's what this podcast is for now. It started back before COVID about my story in the laundry room where I was losing who I was as a busy mom, looking at a basket of missing socks and wondering why am I not happy? I wanted to have fulfillment. I wanted to have both a mom life and a career. And it's evolved. It's so funny because like our fifth child now is graduating, they're leaving the nest. And, you know, I think like this podcast has grown with me in the midlife as a mom, as an entrepreneur, but most importantly as a woman. And I felt called after praying about this season and and what the message is on my heart and what I felt called to share. And I just thought this is where so many women need to hear. They need a safe place to not feel broken, to not feel failing, and give themselves to acknowledge that things feel off and it's okay. You can build the life, and sometimes you feel disconnected. You can be doing all the things and you're still tired. You can look successful on paper and still feel unfulfilled in the spirit. And here's what I want you to hear, friend. You don't have to blow up everything. You don't have to make massive moves or start from scratch. You just have to come back to yourself and start building from there. That's where clarity comes in. That's where your next chapter truly starts. And that's where you get peace in your life. And so inside this podcast here, we're gonna walk this out together. We're gonna, we're gonna talk about it. We're gonna, we're gonna talk about how to reset your life without overwhelm, how to rebuild your health, your energy, your confidence, your next chapters, your dreams, how to create income in a way that actually supports your life and to stop living that hustle mode and start living in alignment. I'm going to share with you what's worked for me and what didn't. I'm gonna give you, show you the exact shifts that took me from burnout and stuff to clear, aligned, and building again with so much godly purpose. And I just know if you're sitting here thinking right now, this is exactly where I am right now. I just want to invite you to step into the podcast with me. Come into this next chapter. We're gonna have a cup of coffee, we're gonna have a conversation, we're gonna have real talk, and hopefully we're gonna have real outcomes. Um, I also want to invite you to something that I created as I walked my own walk. It's called Rooted and Renewed, and it's a reset that's gifted, it's free, and it's a place to start for the woman in the midlife, middle that wants to come back to herself and start from there. It's a 21-day guided experience that helps you reset your body, your mind, and your direction. It's where I would encourage you to start if I were you. And you can find it in my show notes or on my website. And if you're not ready for that move, that's okay. Just stay here with me. Start with these episodes and let this be the space to come back to yourself again. I really am excited, friends, and I can't wait to take each episode and come together and really share with my heart and my hope that you can start becoming the woman God designed you to be.
