Tina Basich is a fan favourite, a legend, a pioneer, and a true snowboarder at heart. She consistently progressed women’s competitive snowboarding from the early days until she retired from pro snowboarding in 2000. Think about it… in Tina’s over 12 year career as a pro, she legitametly rode sorel’s, toured with the Kemper team, was one of the first pros to move to Utah to dedicate her life to snowboarding, designed some of the first women’s specific snowboarding gear, had one of the very first women’s pro models, and she is a founding member of Boarding For Breast Cancer, plus she did the first 720 in a women’s big air competition at the x-games in ’98. It seems impossible. She wrote a book about it called “Pretty Good for a Girl” and she continues to be an ambassador for women’s snowboarding and a true Icon.
