Show Notes

EPISODE ONE SEASON THREE! It's so great to be back!!

I am so honoured that the first guest of season 3 is the incredible Zainab Alema!
Zainab is breaking down barriers and smashing stereotypes within the game of rugby as she embarks on a journey to become the first black, Muslim woman to play rugby for England.
In this episode, we chat about how Zainab wants to use her platform to inspire and empower women and children in rugby and in their lives in general. She wants people to follow their dreams, no matter how big, and chase every goal, because you never know what might happen. If you can't see it... be it!

At the end of last year, Zainab won the Sunday Times Grassroots Sportswoman of the Year, an award given to those who have made an outstanding contribution to keeping women’s sport alive within their local community.  Zainab hopes her story will inspire a new generation of black and minority ethnic players to lace up their boots, pop in their gumshield and take to the field, particularly within the women's game. As well as ALL of this, Zainab works for the NHS as a Neonatal Nurse, and is a wife and a mother of 3.

I hope you enjoy this episode!

THANK YOU, ZAINAB!
