Alison Yu has just a few strings to her bow!

Alison is a wheelchair fencer from Hong Kong, and this summer she will be heading to her 5th Paralympic game! 5th!! She boasts an incredible 11 Paralympic medals, and in addition to attaining all these medals, Alison is also a radio host, she’s on the education committee for the international paralympic committee and she’s the co-founder of the Fencing Sports Academy for young children and teenagers.

In this episode, we discuss Alison's experience of overcoming bone cancer and leg amputation at just 11 years old, the reception of the Paralympic Games in Hong Kong, and the need for better education around the message of the Paralympic Games.

I loved recording this episode with Alison. I wish her all the best at this summer's games, and really hope to see her on the podium in Tokyo!
