This week’s guest is Siufung Law. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Siufung lectures publicly on gender and transgender studies in universities, community colleges, and high schools and is just about to move to the States to pursue a PhD researching transgender studies, queer theory, and Asian studies.
Siufung identifies as genderfluid and actively promotes and advocates for gender fluidity, inclusion, and diversity in Hong Kong and Asia. In this episode we talk a lot about gender within the world of bodybuilding and we also discuss the experience of being a menstruator and the anxieties and struggles that come with that.
Siufung is an Ambassador and Sports Lead of Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 and was the finalist of the 2018 Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Awards. They are also a professional female bodybuilder who has been competing since 2015 and have won several international championships.
