Jayne Appel-Marinelli was an All-American basketball player for Stanford University from 2006-2010 and then played in the WNBA for the San Antonio Silver Stars from 2010-2016.  She talks about growing up in Pleasant Hill, California, getting into basketball through her father, going to St. Mary's games as a kid,  playing other sports, including water polo, and her AAU career.  She describes her great career at Carondelet High School where she was named the California Gatorade Player of the Year, playing for USA Basketball, her recruiting process, and why she chose Stanford.  Jayne then discusses her All-American career where she went to 3 Final Fours, won four Pac-10 Tournament Championships, her injury during the 2010 NCAA Tournament, what it was like to play for Head Coach Tara VanDerveer, and meeting her husband, Chris Marinelli, at Stanford.  She talks about getting selected 5th in the 2010 WNBA Draft, her seven years for the San Antonio Silver Stars, playing overseas, and why she decided to retire.  She explains her life now where she is working for the WNBPA, married with 2 young kids, and a 3rd on the way.
