Show Notes

For 15 years, this week’s podcast guest Megan Penn has been a catalyst for change in our community. Frequenting her college’s local farmers market inspired her to start her own market here in Orange County. With the help from her board, volunteers, and merchants, everyone supported the growth of what is now called Orange Home Grown Farmers and Artisans Market. After having children and starting her family, she knew the only way to survive was to go ALL IN and follow her passion of locally sourced farming and community. Megan has won awards praising her market as one of the best in California, including an award from the American Planning Association received on the California level. On the podcast this week, Kelly and Megan talk about chasing a dream to grow vegetables and raise chickens, all while being a fantastic wife and mother.
