Film lovers, unite! On this exciting segment of Peeling Back the Layers, Lindsay and Alex chat with William Wallace, photographer, filmmaker, Production Assistant at Disney Channel, and Old Towne Orange native. William spent his high school years in Old Towne Orange, honing his photography skills by taking shots of the businesses, restaurants, and buildings that surround the plaza. Four days before William’s high school graduation, he got a call to work at Disney Channel through a connection. He moved to Salt Lake City to work on Andi Mack, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and grew a close second family at Disney Channel. At Disney Channel, William assisted all of the essential departments for creating the series and learned all of the ins and outs of production.
William’s most recent film is a coming-of-age story about a young boy who gets admitted into an arts school in Chicago and how he traverses young adult life. It is now streaming on YouTube.
In this episode, Lindsay, Alex and William discuss William’s film Boys in the Better Land, what it’s like working for Disney Channel, and how Old Towne Orange has inspired him as an artist. Be sure to listen in and follow William to be the first to see his future projects!
