The National Health Service (NHS) is a national treasure, providing comprehensive, free and accessible healthcare for those in the United Kingdom. In recent times the NHS has become under threat of privatisation. In this episode we are joined by Dr Aislinn Macklin-Doherty an Oncology trainee and a member of the BMA committee during the junior doctor strikes and a national officer for the NHS campaign group Health Campaigns Together. Together we discuss some of the myths surrounding the NHS and whether or not privatisation is the way forward.
