Elements of the Matins service (Morning prayer based on the Psalms) include Psalms 95 & 75, a reading from Romans 10,  the Magnificat and prayers, including the collect for the Transfiguration. Dr. Zeile's meditation explains that the Greek word for Transfiguration is "metamorphosis" the term we use to describe the change of form for amphibians or insects, and it is used to describe the heavenly mystery about Christ revealed to His 3 apostles on the mountain. The contemporary hymn (with a western sound) "Swiftly Pass the Clouds of Glory" and the German folk hymn "Lord take my Hand and Lead Me" are also included.
