"An Unchanging Faith for Changing Lives" describes the message of God for us in the turmoil of the 21st Century. This faith is taught at St. John's Lutheran Church of Taylor, Michigan, and other congregations of the Lutheran church-Missouri Synod. Rev. Ruth's family knew poverty, yet it made her open to the love of Israel's God. We may learn that God's message of grace works in the lives of those whose circumstances make public disgrace unavoidable, yet they have greater faith than those whose pride blinds them to their equal need.
