Show Notes

Neal spoke about what we should be doing now: reading the bible, worship, prayer.

Please note that there were some issues with the recording this morning and it stops mid-preach. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Neal’s last point from his preach this morning (which wasn’t recorded) was about community:

We need to care for each other in the church

Make sure you meet in Groups and if you are not in a group try and join one so you can have fellowship together! Look after each other and if you have someone on your heart, then call them. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. Let’s live and support each other.

The Bible says you are the fragrance of Christ wherever you go. We want to be that for each other but also for the wider community, as we seek to help those in need through the foodbank and crisis packages of food. We want people to know that in times of uncertainty they can rely and trust in God.

Psalm 46 vs 1 says “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in the time of trouble”

This is an encouragement to us all and even more so when you look at the meaning of “refuge” - a shelter from danger or hardship - a safe place. This is what we want our Church to be and what we want to be in the community as well.

To finish I would like to pray for you all from Romans 15 vs 13

“I pray that God, the source of hope will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit”

God bless you all this week and may you know his joy, peace and hope during this difficult time.
