The book of Revelation can be frightening to a new christian. Revelation 1:1 is the unveiling of Jesus.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Paul preached the goodness of Jesus. He preached about the righteousness of Jesus. Paul was preaching the grace message.
Galatians 1:11-12 KJV
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Jesus did a finished work on the cross. He freed us from darkness. The Veil has been ripped. We no longer need a high priest to make an offering for our sins. Jesus paid the price when He hung on the cross. Now you and I enter into His presence through the Holy Spirit that dwells in you if you are born again.
Luke 17:21 KJV
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
This is why we can say we're the righteousness of God. We are a new creature in Christ. We are one with Him.
