God was the biggest giver ever. He sowed His son to reap a family.

Many people give 10% out of fear something bad might happen to them or their family if they don't. Others pay it like a bill. This is a form of worship. You get to give back a small part of what God has given you.
Luke 6:38 KJV
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Proverbs 19:17 KJV
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord ; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
You can not out give God. When you give out of your heart, you give out of love. This moves God. What moves God should move you.
Do you have God's heart? He gave all of Himself so you could live.
