I created six new offers in nine hours yesterday. Something is in the air.

But this episode isn't about me. It's about you - especially if you're really good at what you do but nobody's buying.

One of my clients hadn't sold anything in four months. Four months. Then we got ruthlessly specific about one thing, and she made $1,200 in 48 hours.

Being good at your craft and being found for your craft are two completely different skills. You were only taught one of them.

In this episode, I'm breaking down what we changed, the 2AM problem you're not addressing, and the one sentence that makes the right people lean in.

Hello my love. So welcome to a new episode of the Flow State Business Podcast. I am sounding a little sexy toned today. I do have a bit of this nasally throaty thing going on because I got sick on the weekend. Can't believe it. I very rarely catch anything, but I did get sick and it took me the fuck out. I have to just say on Saturday, I was. Out, out, out. It was so hard for me to even get from the bedroom to the kitchen to get a glass of water and then rolling back into the bed. And I cannot stand these days. I don't know about you, but I'm really bad at just relaxing and being in bed and doing nothing, which is ironically maybe why the universe is like, Hey, just can you just chill for a day? We've got lots to do, but we just really need you to rest and restore. And that's what I did. And guess what I did? I watched the reruns. Of the hills. Yes, I did and it was blissful. I absolutely loved it. It also really helped that it was raining all weekend, so I didn't actually feel that much fomo to not be out and about. And I have had a really massive April. It has been a humongous April in terms of service to my clients growing the business, epically, just doing so much behind the scenes that this day had to come. I feel whether I liked it or not, and it also really helped because my. Wonderful son was on two birthday party days, so I didn't really have to mother on the weekend. He had a sleepover and then a thing on Sunday. So anyhow, here we are, but I just wanted to say that after this one day nothingness and just rest, I woke up on Sunday the next day. And just felt so much energy literally rushing back through my body. And even though my nose is still sounding somewhat blocked, I promise you everything else is just feeling so. High vibe and energetically restored that. Yesterday I sat down on my laptop and I created six new offers and they're all really, really amazing mini offers. And I think what I might do is, 'cause I'm going through a bit of a list building exercise. I'm going to make them all free for a period of time. So you'll see me sharing that on my Instagram and on my YouTube and on my, uh, podcast obviously right here. You can go down to the show notes now and have a look at the one that I have available for free. It won't stay free forever, but I really wanna test something at the moment. Anyhow, made those, made the opt-in pages all through Claude Code. Everything has just really flowed out so wonderfully in like nine hours or less. So I don't know, like something is in the air. I am absolutely feeling all this fire and all this momentum and so much excitement around the business, like this sort of excitement of like, I have just got this newfound like gusto. I dunno why I've used that word. I never say gusto, but we're gonna go with it. This new found gusto around. How I wanna help you guys really how I wanna help you guys and for the greater part of my entire business, even in this last 16 months of my business remodel from being purely a high ticket known coach into leading with low ticket, I've really been sharing my story. This is what I've done. This is how I've led myself. These are the trials and tribulations that I've gone through. I am a five three manifesting generator in human design. And I am meant to share my lessons, but I also really want to frame what you guys are doing because my clients are doing humongous things in terms of their own breakthroughs that. It's time for me to put you in the spotlight and sounds so silly. 'cause I have been coaching for eight years and I've had the most incredible clients who've done amazing things in their businesses and as much as I can, I bring them on and we talk about their examples, but I wanna go deeper into that in this next season for sure. So today I really want to talk to you specifically, especially if you are feeling quite invisible right now as an expert leader in what you do and in your field. And specifically why talented business owners stay really unknown. And I wanna show you how to fix this because this is the part that I love helping my clients with. A lot of my clients come from the corporate world. I'd say the majority of my clients have either come from corporate or working for someone else, right? Like you might've been a teacher, for example, and you're working for the government. So you've got so much experience, layers and layers, years and years of knowledge and hands-on experience. And at some point you've decided that you know what? Enough's enough. I'm not gonna work for anyone else anymore. I'm gonna work for myself. I'm gonna start my own business. And here you are on the business landscape and you forgot that being a part of being a business owner is that you also need to be a full-time salesperson and likely a full-time salesperson on social media. Because that's just how we get our billboard up and running. That's how we get traffic through to our business, and it's really frustrating. And I know that this is something that a lot of you have been sitting with and you've maybe even made up a story about whether or not you're good enough as a business owner or as an expert. And I just wanna leave you with something to really think about and to take some action on and away through it, because I know that you are carrying a lot in your business right now, and I wanna release some of that burden with you. And because I know a lot of you are showing up and you're doing the work and genuinely caring about what you do, because deep inside you might not say this to anyone else, but deep inside you will literally be saying to yourself, I'm so freaking good at what I do. Like I need to get my work out to more people. I had a catch up with a client of mine and she is like, Ruby, I know deep down the work that I do is worth $100,000 per client. Because of the incredible feedback that she gets from her CEOs, and she works with a lot of directors. And board members and and such. They've all said that the work she does in the healing space is so incredibly powerful that it's helped them go so much deeper in their careers. So, you know, I said to her, well, why aren't we doing more about this? She's like, well, I just feel really invisible unless I have someone refer me. Everything I put out on Instagram and everything I do on social media just doesn't seem to be heading. But I genuinely know that you guys are putting in the work just like this client of mine. And yet, and yet the daily sales are not reflecting that. Not even forget daily sales, just sales in general. Unless someone is really backing you. Or you may just kind of have like a lucky day where one or two people come along and say yes. And that is so rare. And you know, even just me giving that example, it just feels so far apart. Like you've not even experienced that for some time. And I want you to know something. Okay? I really want you to know something that. This is something that we all go through, and I get it. It's one of the most quietly painful things to sit with as a business owner. So today we are gonna be talking about it properly. I just pull up a chair and, and listen in because, ugh, like, it's just, it's no fun feeling as though you're so good at what you do, but you're not getting paid. I've had so many chats about this exact topic over the last month. And I know that this episode is really here to help those of you feel the way that you do now. And I want you to change that. We are changing it, we're doing something about it. But before I share a client story, I just wanna say this is something that every business owner goes through and they will recognize in their own journey. And I remember feeling this feeling of I am so good at what I do and I don't understand why. My revenue and my profit and my income isn't matching the quality of the work that I put out there in the world. And then the story I ended up telling myself was something along the lines of, maybe I'm just not the kind of person who's really good at this part, which is crazy 'cause I did come from a sales background and I told myself that I wasn't cool enough. I wasn't, you know, like the IT girl. I wasn't that girl. I was missing something. But what I was missing actually really wasn't the confidence. I had confidence to show up. I could jump on camera, you know, anytime someone said, Hey, can you film a video? Yes, I'll film a video. Or, Hey, can you do an audio? Yep, no worries. I also know for me personally, it wasn't that I didn't back my knowledge and my skillset, my talent, and I know that it wasn't even because I didn't have a great strategy. My strategies have always been very simple. Very clean, except the time that I decided to grow a team and it got all messed up. But we live and we learn. But it was actually one very specific thing, and once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it. Everything changed. So a client came to me and. She's like, rubes, I need to work with you specifically because I've been seeing you go on and on about daily sales, and A, it feels almost impossible. And B, it feels like I have just gone through a bit of a drought. So she hadn't sold anything for four months, no sales, which was very odd for her because she's been in business for two years. She's never really experienced this sort of drought before, so formats can feel like an eternity. I like, please let me know if that's you, but. I mean, I know for me, if I don't have sales in four days, I get really antsy. It's been a long time since that's happened, but four months, I'm my girlfriend. Like, okay, let's do this. And we found the same thing together that I found in my own personal journey that basically by the time we located or so to speak, diagnosed the block and the issue here. In 48 hours of our call, she sent me a DM and she's like, Ruby. Ru b freaking Lee, this is literally what she said. You are a business witch or something like that, because I've just had a $1,200 sale and I've had two more people reach out asking me how to work with me. And today I'm gonna walk you through what that was. Yay. Because I really think it is sitting quietly in your business right now as well, especially if this conversation is like. Feeling like a relief. Like you just feel like, okay, this is good. I wanna know what this is. So let's go. First we have to look at what the wound is. There is always an emotional thief that causes a wound in your belief system and in the way that you are showing up. I say this with full conviction, here is what I see so many brilliant business owners do look me in the eyes. I know you can't, but we're just doing it. They're really good at what they do. Genuinely freaking awesome. And you know this because your clients are actually getting results. If you haven't got any clients yet and you haven't got results yet, this is probably a conversation that it's great for you to listen to. But I know you won't be able to fully relate just yet, but you will. But for those of you that are like, you know what, I get it. And you are also at the same time, you're scrolling on Instagram and on TikTok and you're watching stuff on YouTube. You are watching these people that are half as skilled as you and you, you just, oh, you don't even wanna admit that, but you kind of know that. You're like, I know I'm smarter than this person. I know I've got more experience than this person, but they're booking out every time they launch. And the quiet story that starts to build within you, the one that breaks my heart a little bit is that maybe you are just not cut out for this. Maybe the online space was built for another type of personality. Maybe it was meant for someone who's more of a outgoing extrovert manifesting generator does all the things as opposed to introvert. Reflector is, does once quiet time. Doesn't really like people all that much and hates social media. Maybe I'm just not cut out for this wrong. I wanna say this upfront, and I wanna say it gently, but powerfully. That story is such a lie, my love. You're telling yourself a lie every day. Not because I wanna hype you up and be this cheerleader gal in the corner, but because I've sat with enough brilliant people in this position, in this exact position to know that it's never about what they think it is, about being good at your craft and being found for your craft. Are two completely different skillset. And this is the thing. Lean in, you are only ever taught. One of them. Being good at your craft and being found for your craft are two completely different skill sets. Write that down if you need to. So here is what I actually really helped my clients change. Okay? So this client, she was talking to everyone. Her content was very broad. She posted quite regularly, maybe like three or four times a week, but so broad, genuinely helpful, but it went to everyone and to no one at the same time. And that gets, you know, like nodded at, and it gets scrolled through and scrolled past, but it doesn't make any specific person feel like it was written for them, that it was made for them. So in that first call, I got ruthless with her. Like literally we got ruthlessly specific about the person she actually wanted to help and we disregarded everybody else that kind of fell around the peripheral. So for example, one of my other clients, she's a naturopath and she work, she literally says Ruby, I work with 24 year olds and 72 year olds. They all have very different, you know, health issues that they come to me with. But what I really love working with and who I love working with are women in their twenties to thirties who have severe acne on their face and issues with their period regulation. But I still really love working with my 72-year-old grandma, and she needs help with sleep, and she needs help with anxiety. And so this is a really great example we call ruthlessly specific. And this goes across all different niches. So with that client who's a naturopath. I'm like, we are just focusing on women in their twenties and thirties with severe acne and period issues and it doesn't discount everybody else. 'cause you can still take everyone else. But I'm just talking about, again, being found for your craft. I know you've heard this before, but I'm gonna say it again. One problem and one social media platform to really go deep with the work that you do. I really also wanna bring up. The fact that a lot of you don't think about what your client is thinking about at 2:00 AM in the morning. I discussed this inside of my in-person mastermind here on the Gold Coast. I'm still not over it. That was just incredible and I can't wait for the next one, which is happening in July. If you're on my email list, you would've heard about it by now, and the spots are filling and I'm so excited. But in the in-person day, I talked about knowing that 2:00 AM feeling. What are your clients sitting up with at night? They're not sitting up with, oh, I hope that I come across a 12 year certified naturopath who has a course with 12 modules, and I can complete that in three months to solve my issue. No one's saying that they are waking up in the middle of the night with severe period pain going to the bathroom, looking at the self in the mirror, feeling ugly and not looking like the way they wanna look. Because of that, they've got less confidence. They don't look people in the eye, they don't even smile, they don't feel great going outside. That causes anxiety and social issues and on and on we go. That's the 2:00 AM problem. And the embarrassing, honest 2:00 AM version of that problem, not the polished version, has been the one that she's not been addressing. So we rewrote the sentence that she led with. We looked at her message, the thing in her bio, the very first line of every piece of content, the very first thing she says when someone asks what she does, and that sentence, when it's specific enough, it doesn't create a lot of cognitive dissonance, which means you're not wondering like, what does that mean? What does that mean? What does that mean? Like, I'll give you another example. I used to say, hi guys, like I'm Ruby. I'm the founder of Flow State Business, which is how I think a lot of people would introduce themselves, especially if you come from corporate, you go into networking events. But what that causes is people going, huh, founder of Flow State Business. I wonder what flow state business is. I wonder how long she's been a founder. That's cognitive dissonance starts taking away from the main core message. Now, the way that I would introduce myself would be along the lines of, hi, I'm Ruby. I work with really talented, very skilled business owners who don't know how to sell every day. And that's it. It's so clear. It's so simple. It's my one line and that sentence, because it's specific enough and makes people go, huh, interesting. And they lean in and they ask more questions. How do you do that? Where do I find you? I know somebody who needs you. So I really want you to think about when you say your sentence, whether that be in person or online, or you know, how you talk on stories today, does it make the right person for you immediately feel seen? Because when I say like, I help really talented, very skilled, incredible healers actually make sales today, the right people are gonna be like, oh my God, fuck, I need that. Literally, that's, that would be their response. Because people only ever lean in connect, buy from someone who makes them feel so seen. Three pieces of content a week, the same platform, the same follow account. Completely different results from my client, going from four months of a complete drought, of an experience of not having any sales to us changing the way that she speaks directly to the embarrassing 2:00 AM problem. I know that you're waking up at 2:00 AM. And you are wondering what is wrong with your body. Then you turn on the light and you look at yourself in the mirror and all you can see are welts on your face. I really wanna help you fix that and we can fix that in less than two weeks with something very simple and that's it. Obviously, make the promise that you can make so loves. I have put together a worksheet for you called the Visibility Clarity Map. It's in the show notes. It's actually the exact exercise that I walked you through, but in more detail, there's three parts to it. And I got this client of mine who made sales in 48 hours after a four month drought. I got her to fill this in for me before we jumped on our one-to-one call, and she said, rubes, like this worksheet pulled out so many blocks. It showed me so many gaps and it showed me so many things that I was telling myself was the lie. Now that she realizes it's the lie she was telling herself that was the truth and it's helped her move on from it so quickly. So like I said, because I went through this like insane flow state and created all these worksheets and literally just pulled from our coaching conversations, made these worksheets. I'm gonna link it in the show notes. It is free for now. Please actually do it. It's gonna make an absolutely humongous difference to the way that you look at the way you sell. Message create on socials and really back the work that you do. All right. I'm so excited for you to do this work. I promise you it's a 20 minute exercise that you will not regret doing, and if you do need extra help, if you do need extra clarity, then just ping me on ig. I'll literally workshop it with you. I promise I, I respond to all of my dms, but for now, I want you to know that you are so meant for this work. Remember, like I'll say it a third time, being good at your craft and being found for your craft are two completely different skills. You were probably only taught, or you probably only really went deep with being great at your craft, but you haven't really gone deep if at all, around being found for what you do. And that's a whole other level of mastery that if you're listening to this at this point, you are ready for. So go do the worksheet. I'm very excited for you to dive in. And I will catch you in the next episode. Big love, and I'll see you next week.
