In this episode, we have some exciting updates and discussions lined up for you.
One of the main topics we delve into is the use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) and the regulations surrounding them in the world of Muay Thai. We address the recent case of Petchtanong, who was stripped of his title due to testing positive for metenolone and boldenone. Although he claims those substances were doctor prescribed for injuries, it is important to note that they are not legal for active and competing athletes.
We also discuss the lack of drug testing in Asia and other parts of the world, shedding light on the varying approaches and inconsistencies in regulations across different regions.
Another intriguing point we explore is the PRIDE championship from Japan, which openly admitted to not conducting drug tests. We dive into how their promotion encouraged fighters to do whatever it took to put on an exciting show for the fans.
Moving on to our Q&A segment to answer questions about mouth guards and weigh training with your Muay Thai.
As always, we encourage our listeners to email us at jonathan@muaythaiventura.com with your questions and topics you'd like us to cover in future episodes. We value your feedback and input!
