Afterward, he had two more surgeries during childhood to repair pulmonary stenosis. He is a licensed practical nurse and is currently studying to become a registered nurse. Until recently, he was a patient care technician and cardiac monitor technician at his local hospital.

Jeffrey lives in Wichita with his wife Ashley and two heart-healthy children: Mason and Amelia. In this episode of "Heart to Heart with Anna," Jeffrey talks about why he is becoming a registered nurse, how he feels about the quality of life a person with d-TGA should have, some modifications that may need to be made, and what the future holds for him and his family.
