Ep. 375 - Roadblocks

Have you ever hit a plateau or even found yourself moving backwards in your personal development journey?  

That’s right – sometimes we encounter roadblocks in our path towards personal development.

It’s normal and it’s natural.  Like many other situations in life, how we respond is what matters.

I’d like to look at the idea of “roadblocks” through a bit of an analytical lens.

You see, once we’ve accepted our plateau or our backwards progress, we begin to again move forward.

Acceptance.

One of the first things I think about when it comes to the word “acceptance” and it’s use is the serenity prayer.  The Serenity Prayer is a prayer written by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr. It is commonly quoted as: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Wikipedia
