Momentum doesn’t feel like a hashtag when it’s 11 PM, your alarm is set for 4 AM, and you’re still squeezing in one more page. We’re checking in with a candid update after a short stretch of being offline, owning the fact that consistency slipped and naming what we’re doing about it. If you’ve been trying to balance ambition with real life, this one hits close: the goal isn’t perfection, it’s forward motion.

We talk about what “good busy” looks like right now, including a big stand-up comedy milestone: headlining a show in Grand Prairie, Texas on Friday, September 25th. We also share a major creative win years in the making: a feature film screenplay built from years of research, finally edited and submitted for copyright, then reshaped into a novel. You’ll hear how we’re thinking about the next steps, from seeking publishers to making smart choices like starting with a digital book release when funds are tight.

Along the way, we touch on the grind behind the dream: training, day job demands, personal obligations, and new acting opportunities that mean memorizing lines and monologues on top of everything else. The throughline is discipline, gratitude, and the belief that momentum is key, especially when motivation comes and goes. If this sparked something in you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a quick review. What are you building right now?

Quick Hello And Apology

SPEAKER_00

What's up, my beautiful people? Benja Well done coming at you live on this beautiful Wednesday, July the 29th, 2026. So I've been offline a little bit as far as the podcast goes, not intentionally, but uh I've just been uh good busy. And unfortunately, I haven't made the time to uh do the podcast, and I have dedicated those minutes to other things. But you know, consistency is uh everything, so I apologize not doing it, and I'm gonna do better. That being mentioned, here's what's going on.

Grand Prairie Headlining Announcement

SPEAKER_00

So uh September the 25th, I'm going to uh Friday, September the 25th, I'm gonna be headlining at a comedy club in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Screenplay Copyright And Novel Plan

SPEAKER_00

Um I also, uh many years ago, I spent about four years of research to do a screenplay for a feature film. And um uh I just got finished editing it between having a day job and doing comedy and judo slash jujitsu, uh wrestling and uh personal obligations plus always working on comedy number one. Um yeah, kind of busy. It's kind of hard to do everything all at once, but I try my best. And um uh the screenplay uh today, actually, I finally um submitted the uh copyright for the screenplay, and I also turned it into a book as well, uh, a novel. So I'm really excited about that. I'm gonna be seeking publishers and um uh try to get the it made into a feature film. And essentially I wrote myself into a minor role that is still a key role, uh, the way that Sylvester Salone did uh is um uh for Rocky. So um yeah, I've had a lot going

Why The Podcast Still Matters

SPEAKER_00

on. I'm extremely busy, uh, but good busy, which I'm so thankful to be good busy instead of bad busy. Bad busy is like there's drama, there's work, there's all sorts of stuff, and you just it's just like you don't get a break, you know? But now I also feel like I'm not getting a break, but it's because I'm I'm doing so many different projects all at once. Uh, but again, it's stuff that I'm passionate about and that I love. So uh no regrets. I'm super happy, I'm excited, I'm pumped, but it is a balancing act because um I should be and I do try to, of course, right? Rehearse keeping that blade sharp every single day, right? Um, every single day uh for an hour um while also managing and doing absolutely everything else. Um, and now on top of that, um, I also have some opportunities uh which I'm not gonna get into this very moment uh with acting. So I'm gonna have to be memorizing lines and a monologue and all sorts of other stuff. So a lot is happening all at once, but it's it's uh blessings to God, and I'm I'm really thankful and fortunate for having so much uh good positivity going on and stuff right now. So um, yeah, that's all I got. I I didn't want to just do an update and then bounce, but realistically, um the more that I have to do, um, of course, the more busy I would be. Um, but I I have to be better and not neglect other things, such as this podcast, because I've been doing it for years, over 400 episodes now. And um uh it's always I I want my podcast to be a journey from where I started to where I am to where I'm going to. And this way I can also reflect back so you, the listener and myself, the uh the author of this podcast, the speaker, uh will be able to go back in time and see the progress and the trials and the uh errors and lessons learned and stuff like that. And hopefully, hopefully, uh along the way, if I said something or did something that inspires you to be the best version of yourself, well then bless you as well. You know what I mean? Peace be with you.

Late Night Grind And Momentum

SPEAKER_00

Um, so anyway, that being mentioned, uh it is now 11. Well, it's almost 11 o'clock at night. Um, and I gotta head to bed. You know, I got a four o'clock uh alarm set every single day. There is no off days when you're uh passionate and in love with art. So um art living in life, right? So uh yeah, I just got finished um working on more pages. I'm just proofreading before I start to seek for a publisher for putting it uh out as a book. Um, pretty sure it's only gonna be a digital copy, a digital book for digital download, because I don't have the funds right now to be able to put something to paperback unless I had a big publisher uh uh company, you know, that wanted to uh buy the book. So um, which would also be a blessing, right? Um and uh yeah, I just feel like the wind is the wind is propelling me uh with upward momentum towards uh all sorts of greatness, and I'm I'm thankful and I'm appreciative. And now I gotta end the night. I gotta end the night and uh get ready to start this ball of wax all over again tomorrow morning. You know, momentum is key. And uh I think that's what the podcast is going to be should be called for today. Momentum is key. So I'm vintage well done. Keep on rolling. I'm out. Peace.
