Energy Meditation: Nourishment from God
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Today's guided meditation creates sacred space for divine nourishment from our Creator. Recline, breathe intentionally, and open yourself to God's sustaining energy from head to toe.
Drawing inspiration from John 6:27, we explore the difference between temporary satisfaction and lasting spiritual nourishment through a restful practice that engages body, mind, and spirit.

Finding Your Relaxed Posture
Speaker 1Hi, this is Whitney and you're listening to Exploring Peace Meditations. I invite you to find a reclined posture today for this energy meditation, as we soak in nourishment from God, so begin to find a posture in which you can soften and relax and rest upon the earth, whether it's on a yoga mat, on your bed, under a tree outside. Make sure you're in a space where you can fully relax. Take some full, deep breaths and not be distracted. Take some full, deep breaths and not be distracted as you begin to notice your breath. On your next inhale, send the breath deep into your diaphragm, allowing your belly and your core, your chest, your entire body to expand. On the inhale as you exhale, allow your body to settle, soften and relax toward the earth beneath you. Inhale, expand, exhale, soften as you breathe in this purposeful way.
Intentional Breathing with Scripture
Visualizing God's Nourishment in Creation
Speaker 1Listen to John 6, 27 in the message Jesus told the crowd Don't waste your energy striving for perishable food like that. Work for the food that sticks with you, food that nourishes your lasting life, food the Son of man provides. He and what he does are guaranteed by God, the Father, to last Check in with yourself and ask do I feel nourished today? This meditation isn't meant to make you feel hungry in any way. But there are a few ways you can answer this question. Do you feel physically nourished in this moment? Are you emotionally nourished? Do you feel spiritually nourished? And then, on your next inhale, let's set an intention with breath work to inhale, creator, god, exhale, nourish me. Let this breath prayer just fall upon you for the next few moments as we welcome, claim and invite God to nourish us today. Inhale, creator, god, exhale, nourish me. Our creator gives life to so much. Our creator gives life to you. And so take a moment and begin to imagine, see, envision in your mind's eye all of that which God nourishes. See the plants, the trees. Envision the flowers, the leaves that God nourishes, the leaves that God nourishes. Bring to mind the creatures, the animals, the birds, the pets. See in your mind's eye all the ways in which God nourishes all the animals of the earth. And now let's welcome and remind ourselves that God nourishes us.
Soaking in Divine Golden Light
Speaker 1Welcome some beautiful rays of golden sunlight. Feel them upon your face. Let this sunlight be representative of God's energy, god's nourishment, beaming down from the creation of the gentle warmth. It's not too hot, it's just right. And the sun warms not only your face, it brings you a smile. The sun travels down the body, covering the shoulders and the arms, the heart space. This sunlight moves down your core and your legs all the way to your feet.
Speaker 1As you soak in God's sunlight, inhale, creator, god, nourish me. God's light is upon you. God's light and energy is filling you this day, nourishing you. May you soak in it, may you rest in it. May you receive it In the next few moments of quiet. Simply soak in God's light, love, care and compassion. I'm going to take a deep breath. Thank you.
Closing Gratitude and Resources
Speaker 1With your next breath, allow awareness to travel throughout your entire being, awareness of God's energy that's filling you, for God's light and energy, and then hold on to this energy, allow it to remain with you, to stay with you, to fill and satiate all of your needs. Creator God, thank you for nourishing us. May we carry forth your energy in all we do. May we be reminded that we are part of your creation, nourished, fulfilled, loved and created by you. With gratitude, in our hearts and our minds, we give thanks and say Amen. When you're ready, you can wiggle your fingers and your toes and gather up the energy that you've rested in and take it into your day. If you'd like more of this type of restful presence with God.
