When Esteban Guerrieri - a well known, extremely successful and talented Argentine racer - turned up in the WTCC paddock for a round in 2016, all eyes were on him... and he didn't disappoint.
Behind the wheel of the Campos chevvy he topped the charts in practice sessions, gained an unlikely fastest lap of the weekend and generally ruffled quite a few feathers with his feisty dominance. So when he was given a full time seat in 2017 every one was excited to see what he would do. Again, he didn't disappoint and from round 8 he was asked to step up and replace Tiago Monterio who had been involved in a heavy crash.
2018 saw him within reach of the title but he narrowly missed out. This season, he is even closer and has spent much of it leading the points battle until a very tricky last weekend saw him a victim of Macau.
However, he goes in to the final round of the season with a serious showdown battle ahead as he is just 9 points behind the leader Norbie Michelisz and anything can happen!
