Sabriena is a native of Kingston Jamaica She is passionate about community building, entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. Sabriena began her career in the New York City Council in 2015 after interning within the agency. Through her internship a passion for community based work and social justice was born. Sabriena has been a board member of the DYCD Neighbourhood Advisory Board, the Rochester City School District’s Student Leadership Board and served as Intergovernmental Liaison of BRYDGES Inc. 

In 2019 Sabriena founded Velvet Luxe Cosmetics, an independent beauty company which provides luxury synthetic mink eyelash extensions and beauty accessories. VLC serves to aid in the enhancement of peoples preexisting beauty. The company executes this by providing affordable false lashes that can be worn 25 times or more depending on your care.
