We are in relationships for various reasons. Sometimes our relationships are byproducts of other aspects of our life. We can have work friends because of our job, we can have friends who are into sports because we are into the same sport, or we can have friends that we met at the gym, library, bar, or whatever. If you focus on the relationship paradigm, you will spend effort and time on these relationships. However, if you are focused on growth, you can value those friendships but will spend more time on activities that help you grow.
