TW: Domestic Violence
On October 19th, 2021, a Virtual Blood Drive begins, honoring Eugene's Caitlin (pronounced CAT-lin) Roberts and the story of a brutal attack in her own home just five days before Christmas, 2019. Once you hear it you'll never forget it. Nor will you forget the enduring optimism she reflects as she tells her story. Since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Bloodworks 101 Producer John Yeager couldn't think of a better time to publish, "A Dark Cloud Over Christmas - Caitlin Roberts Story of Survival." We hope this episode will help you make the decision to donate as part of that virtual drive. Don't forget, the code to share with the donation center or Pop-Up when you arrive to donate is FSL.
