Want business clarity? How you can get it right now with Carrie Clarke
Show Notes

Today’s guest on the show is Carrie Clarke, a small business consultant that helps business owners get to their next level.

What I loved about interviewing Carrie is that she totally debunks the myth that you should have it all figured out right out of the gate.  As she says, “action brings clarity” around getting crystal clear on who you serve and how.  It’s such an important nugget of wisdom because we let this fear paralyze us sometimes and it holds us back from jumping in.  But it’s only with jumping that we fix that fear!

On top of that, Carrie and I talk:

  • Why avatar exercises are a backwards way to find your ideal client (there, I said it)
  • Why throwing spaghetti against the wall – with a time limit – may actually be the smart way to get going!
  • Why you shouldn’t be paying for advertising when you’re just starting out
  • Why you may actually know what’s next in your business (but can’t hear it through the other noise out there)
  • The power of getting curious
  • Why you must get a mentor

Carrie's best quotes:

  • “We don’t realize that current roles we’re in could be teaching us things for later…”
  • “I don’t know anyone whose business hasn’t done a complete 180 in the first year.”
  • “I truly think people know what the next best step is but they just can’t hear it through the noise”
  • “Our brain is bonkers powerful…”

You always hear me yammering on about this stuff, I know… but if you don’t want to take it from me, take it from the CEOs like Carrie that I talk with.  Buckle up and enjoy this one.
