In 2020, the Utah Women & Leadership Project published a study that investigated 100 companies who have been on various lists of Utah’s “Best Places to Work.” Since then, the UWLP has been highlighting these types of efforts in various ways. This episode is the first in a series of episodes focusing on practices, policies, programs, and initiatives that are linked to recruiting, retaining, and advancing women in their organizations. More broadly, many of these are referred to as “flexible and family-friendly” policies. In this new set of episodes, we highlight one company per episode, and start the series with Zions Bank. With over 10,000 employees, Zions Bank is a leader in creating and implementing policies that support women and families (and men too). Dr. Susan Madsen, Founding Director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project, is joined by Scott Anderson, President of Zions Banks, and Trina Eyring, Director of Talent Acquisition for Zions Bank.
