What Utah College Students Think about Teaching as a Career: An Analysis by Gender
In this episode, we discuss a recently released research brief titled “What Utah College Students Think about Teaching as a Career: An Analysis by Gender.” Using data collected by Envision Utah, a nonprofit organization that engages Utahns in collaborative, bottom-up decision-making, this brief explores the perceptions of Utah college students as they consider and prepare for their careers. The findings offer important insights about the pipeline of teachers and provide recommendations for attracting and retaining the best educators for Utah’s classrooms. What do these findings reveal about the past, present, and future of teachers and education in Utah? We’ll explore all of that and more in today’s episode.
Dr. Susan Madsen, a Professor of Organizational Leadership in the Jon M.
