Speaker 1:

But what if you're trying to lose the quarantine 15 or you've lost your motivation and your mojo. If you completely lost interest in getting in shape, you're not alone. Doctor and dog, it has this new groundbreaking technology called M sculpt. She has lots of fat-burning remedies that she'll be sharing. She's going to leave us fired up on the road to feeling fit. Even if we don't feel our best, we're going to fake it till we make it. Get back out there and find love. When we come back, we will discuss what it takes to fit in your skinny jeans, to finding that perfect fit and a partner you will want to visit. So stay tuned, Dr. Ann dog, it helps sick people get well and healthy people stay healthy. We're all looking for alternative ways to stay healthy and fail our best. During this national health crisis. Dr. Ann has helped countless patients across the country through nutrition, counseling, and chiropractic care. Dr. Ann owns a practice just outside Boston, and we've recently launched a podcast together, which is called hold that prescription. The show shines a light on alternative medicine, healing and holistic approach. Dr. Ann has been a guest on shot love before, so I'm thrilled to have her back. She's my brilliant friend. Who's healed me and helped me tremendously in life. There are good doctors back welcome Dr. Ian, Carrie. It's great to be here. So the last time you were here, we talked about finding health and happiness during hard times today, I want to help people feel great about the way they look so they can dazzle others with their parents. M sculp targets the extra weight, honestly, M sculpt is my new obsession. Tell us about M sculpt. And what inspired you to bring this cutting edge technology into your practice?

Speaker 2:

Well, em, sculpt uses a really unique system. It's not designed to burn fat necessarily. It's designed to really develop muscle muscle strength, muscle thickness. And in the process, this new muscle is going to need energy to access the energy. It will break down the fat cell. So it's consistent with our philosophy of natural health and healing from within, and really helping people to get that inside out good health. Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay. You definitely need more protein and hydration. And I found myself, so I did four AB abseil eight minute abs. I did the Amschel for my abs. And then I just did my buns of steel, which I did it on my glutes. And that was a process in itself. But you know, I'm sitting there, laying there and I'm strapped in and I'm like singing like time for me to fly by Speedwagon. Like, I'm ready. Like this is it. But I felt in the morning when I woke up, I ran right for the protein shake.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's interesting because you asked me how I came upon this. I came upon it through a patient of ours who is in the beauty industry. And she went to one of her accounts, got there a little bit early. And there was a rep for this technology there who said, sit in this chair. I want you to experience this really cool technique. And the, the principle behind this machine is that it will deliver the impulse to the muscles. In part, you could use it for area as you spoke about the abs, the glutes, the calves, the arms, but, uh, my introduction was through the pelvic floor. So as you strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, you're going to improve any issues that come from a weakened pelvic floor, and that can include incontinence. Um, the technology is actually FDA approved for that. So, um, this woman had one treatment and it was unbeknownst to me that she had been waking up twice a night to urinate. And she went home and slept through the night. So just after one treatment, she found some changes there. So we were excited to bring it in and, uh, apply it in all these other terrific ways.

Speaker 1:

So M sculpt definitely has had a huge impact on me. And I, you know, I had mentioned, we, we did an actually an episode on this, on hold that prescription. And I was watching the Queen's gambit and I was eating a cheeseburger from Walters. And you text me, no, actually, no, that's not true. I was sitting on the couch and then you texted me and you said, you got to do this. This is a game changer. And so the next morning I woke up at, and it was like right before noon and I was eating a cheeseburger and I was like, who even does this? I had really no motivation to do it in the first place, but when I did it, something clicked in me and I've started to eat better. And I am constantly watching busy Phillips working on an Instagram, and now I'm taking fat burning supplements. But the reason why I want to bring this up on the episode is because I'm all about doing something that empowers you and gives you confidence and makes you feel like you, you know, feel better about yourself because when you're online dating it, isn't, it can be a negative place. And people usually are starting out. They're recovering from a bad relationship. They're afraid to get back out there. And I I'm all about supporting something that gives you confidence. And I think when you have that positive energy and confidence, you become more magnetic and more desirable. Can you talk about how M sculp shifts, how the body looks

Speaker 2:

Well? So to start with, we know you start to break down these fat cells within eight hours after the first treatment, you'll decrease your fat cell w it's cell death, it's called apoptosis that increases 92%, eight hours after your first treatment. And you start to feel your muscles work and you connect with your muscles. And we've applied this to patients who are fit, who just want to get to that next level of sculpt and to patients who haven't worked out in years and need to just have something, get them started to be strong when they go in. So you're going to see, depending upon what level you enter at, you know, I had one of my first people that did abs had six children. She had multiple C-sections and after two treatments, she said, I can see my abs, I'm failing them back. So there's a, there's a strength difference. We know that you improve the thickness of the muscle. The process takes a full 12 weeks. So you might not see your changes, all of the possible changes right away, but you will see some, and I've had other people do an arm session or two that say their arms feel stronger already. So, you know, the physical strength and then the aesthetics

Speaker 1:

Of course. Right? So it's interesting. I think during the pandemic, a lot of people have just given up, they're either gone where they're doing workout videos at home. But for me, I know I doubled down when I couldn't work for about five months and I just worked on the content for the show. And then I had to go back full tilt into running my studio, and I was working 70 hours, 70 hour work weeks, and I have a compromised back. So it wasn't like I had any time to go for a walk or do anything if I had a new motivation, which I didn't. And I think that like inaction or just giving up, it's kind of like when you're online dating, you're just like, this is going to be too hard. I mean, working out as hard. And I think not even trying is the biggest thing that holds people back from joining online dating. And they always say that they have to lose weight first. And I'm sure you hear that too, from your single patient.

Speaker 2:

I do. I hear it from all patients lately. You know, there isn't anybody that hasn't been affected by the pandemic. And, um, some people, their appetite has increased or their motivation decreased. And, um, other people, their appetite is decreased and either way it's affecting energy levels. It is affecting confidence and it is affecting health. So as true to our principle of the whole being, you have to look at the chemistry around mood and behaviors. You have to look at the spiritual connection around purpose and wellbeing. And then the physical, you know, you getting enough of the right things. Are you taking in too much of the wrong things? You know, I think that we've seen an increase in alcohol intake and that'll certainly contribute to weight management challenges too.

Speaker 1:

Right. And people aren't seeing each other. So if they're not online dating, they're like, whatever, I'm going to just wear these Lou alum and stretch pants for six months. And then they realized they can't fit into their jeans. And I just, I, I feel like I've been all over the map, whether it's not eating, not sleeping, but this is the first thing I've been excited about in a long time.

Speaker 2:

Tell me, Carrie, how have you experienced the strength? Your abs?

Speaker 1:

Well, I'm the weakest in my abs and I'm never done, uh, because of my back. And I didn't realize how weak I was until I did the AVS machine. It really made me tired a little bit. It felt like I ran a marathon, but there were days where I had a ton of energy there. And then I just felt really positive. Like I immediately felt like there was hope for me.

Speaker 2:

Excellent. Cause you can feel your muscle contract. And when you're, you're trying to do a setup or a crunch and you're voluntarily engaging the muscle, you're going to get 30% engagement, maybe 50% with M sculpt, you get a hundred percent muscle fiber involvement in the contraction. So as you lay there and you make time for yourself, and I think it's interesting because people will say, you know, I don't have the time to exercise, but they will make the time for their, it's a 30 minute session, right? 28 minutes for the pelvic floor process and 30 for the area sculpt and people make the time. And I think that's part of the benefit because you start, you make a commitment to yourself and your health and you choose to make the space and time to affect it. That's that's step number one. Right?

Speaker 1:

I think it was that making a time and you talk about 30 minutes and people make excuses. I'm guilty. You know, I never made excuses online, although I had good days and bad days when I was dating, but you have to take a chance and you have to try to do something different and you have to pivot and you have to have this warrior mindset that with, you know, no risk, no reward. So it was like, I'm going to try this new thing, invest my time during my Christmas rush. And I I'm obsessed. I love it. I think it's, I think it's that kick that gets you moving in the, in a positive direction and like celebrate the small wins, you know, find anything you can hold on to, you know, it's just, that's how I feel about it. And I'm really excited about it. I'm excited that I'm making better choices with eating. Um, I down supplements, like it's my job. I mean, I really do. And I believe in them and I'm, I'm ready to buy a machine here.

Speaker 2:

I'll have to oversee it for you because the machines are sold to healthcare, not ones who play one, but it is a type of thing that everybody wants when they have their first visit. And we're delighted to hear feedback from, from everybody so far that I've spoken with, that it is actually stimulating them to change their life. And in terms of helpful practices, including, you know, taking in the good nutrition, making sure the body's hydrated, it muscles need protein. So, um, you're doing a great job with that. Right.

Speaker 1:

And I did do a lot better, you know, I, I didn't realize how weak I was in my abs. And everyone was like, I don't know if I'm going to do apps carrot because I just, I struggled a little bit where most people just breezed right through it. Um, my boyfriend had no issues. He was like, you just so weak, but he saw the improvement in me. And when I did the glutes, I did really well with that. I was, I was building strength.

Speaker 2:

You know, I think the abdominal areas of vulnerable area, it's probably one of the most vulnerable spots in the, in energetically in the body. So, and I have seen a wide range of experiences that people have had, uh, have a male patient that didn't really want to go past the 45% intensity on the machine. And I've had female patients that go right up to 100 and vice versa. I think so part of your vulnerability comes through. I found myself, I thought I was going to be really strong and I had trouble with that area. I had to really connect with my breath and pretend I was actually in the gym working out and, you know, exhale as the machine contracted the muscle. And so it's interesting. And, um, the, the technology is also great because they have programmed in this tapping period that moves the lactic acid out. So as with anything, when you, when you're working hard on a muscle, you can create this after effect of soreness. So they incorporated that into the, into the whole program. And so you'll get the sound effects and you can coordinate your breath.

Speaker 1:

Right? Well, I wanted, I was so excited to do arms and you're like, no, you're doing glutes. This is the program. This is what you're doing. And I was like, all right, well, first of all, I know it targets five body parts, but, um, I've already, I'm doing like 25.

Speaker 2:

We've had patients asking already, can we do this for my thighs? Can I do this for my legs? So, you know, there's lots of ways we can use the technology. And then there are ways that it's officially sort of taught and FDA approved and we are using it in unique forms. My right-hand person in the office has trouble with atrophy of a thigh muscle. Um, and her doctor had sent her for a PT and she hasn't made the time for that. So we're using the technology to help build her thigh muscle. The glutes are terrific with abs from my perspective, clinically, because they're going to support your core strength and for anyone who has an occupational challenge with added stress, um, with the back and lower back pain and health, the core strength is really significant,

Speaker 1:

Right? And it's like from the core, like let's get strong. And I always would photograph people who are in transition and they don't feel good about themselves. And I'm like, I don't care what you got, what you do. If you get extensions, lash, extensions, a spray, tan Botox, whatever, do something that makes you feel better. And I think that's a real, you know, arm yourself with power and get after it. So I remember one night I had good days and bad days and believe me the next day I was totally fine. But I, the only thing I really experienced was sometimes it'd be tired because it is a strenuous workout and it's something new to the system. And one night I was texting you and you were like, just, why aren't you? I just took a relief pack. I was

Speaker 2:

Like recovery, recovery back. I was like, could you have told me? So, you know, we have these packets for our athletes. And I didn't think about them at the beginning of this program, but, um, there's performance packets, which has all the nutrition. You need to maximize the strength and endurance in the muscle reserves. And then there's recovery things like magnesium that you'd want to supply for quick recovery. Right. We have homeopathics to for this purpose. And, um, so yeah, it's a great adjunct actually, after talking with you about it, I've started to recommend it to everybody. That's good. I take two, two packs a day. There you go. In that, um, recovering the market, you, you also are getting some Epic immune, which is a great immune support product with some of the Japanese mushroom extracts that's in the recovery pack. So yeah, added benefit for the immune system there. And the other thing that I'm doing, which I drink a lot of soda water, but I never really drink a lot of water. And something as simple as hydration is so important, but you always say that hydration is so commonly overlooked. It is in part of what we do for people. When they come in and have this service is we supply them with a large glass of water that's been added to, with some of our homeopathic rehydration. So for that purpose, we're connecting the endocrine system with the nervous system, starting to affect hormonal balance. And also just getting you into the habit of taking in some water. That's great. So this is all amazing information. We're going to take a short break, but when we come back, we will be discussing how powerful our mental state can be and finding love. We're going to talk about the law of attraction and how to attract the love we deserve. We all have the power to attract. Once we've realized our potential and radiate our best.

Speaker 3:

This episode of shot at love is brought to you by a call chai rump[inaudible] is the world's first botanical rock recognized by the government of Trinidad and Tobago is having the first new production process for rum in over a century. Call chai rum is an officially protected trade secret. Only the second such protective process in the Caribbean, since the famed Angostura bitters by Don Carlos secret in the 1870s, chai rom is available in 44. Us States on Shai rum.com, also available, and the Republic of Ireland on stuff you need dot. I price them today. And we're back with

Speaker 2:

Let's do Keeler Dr. Ann Doggett. So everyone knows I'm super excited about, um, sculpt, but you have some, some clinical data that you want to share. And I think those important because people want the facts to support the time and the investment. Yeah, this is why we were so excited. So we talked about the cell death being 92% after the first treatment with eight hours later, I was on a radio show yesterday and the host had her treatment the day before Jill Jardain thank you so much. And she was saying, I already see my abs. So that 92% is a great number. We see a four centimeter reduction in waste or conference. We see 16% increase in muscle thickness, 19% reduction and abdominal fat. We also see 17% of these abdominal rectus separation injuries for the AB muscles repair. So this is all great stuff. And for the gluteal region, you're going to see at 11% volume. And that's not that you're going to get a wider glute. You're going to get a full volume lifted.

Speaker 1:

Right? Well, I was wondering about the glutes because I felt that I just felt like, I didn't know, cause, cause I didn't know if he could add volume and I was like, I don't really need any volumes

Speaker 2:

The muscle to the muscle. Right. And that's what you want because the thickness and the volume give you strength and they're going to also support the low back. And then they're also going to work for your aesthetic goals,

Speaker 1:

Right? So I just listened to you and I do whatever you tell me to do. And everyone's like, what are you doing? And I actually went on the new product that you have it's well, I call it the orgasmic Tron. Can you talk about this new product?

Speaker 2:

This is M cellar, which is a chair version of the same technology where you sit on the chair and we position you so that the perinatal area and the pelvic floor muscle is actually received this electromagnetic impulse. It helps, um, incontinence, as we mentioned, it's FDA approved for that, but there's also a higher intensity volume protocol for sexual health because you look at the strength of the pelvic floor, things like circulation and lubrication and some of these other factors that are going to influence your health and wellbeing. Those can get addressed and handled with this technology. So yeah, people are searching for our fun names for this, but it's called the[inaudible] and the magic chair. Right.

Speaker 1:

But that if people have issues sexually, that will hold you back from dating undoubtedly. Yeah. Yeah. And you've, you saw that a lot with your patients that they, their self-esteem really dipped, especially

Speaker 2:

Please, as you get older, you know, and I think some of these challenges are considered part of the normal aging process. And I think it's important for people to realize that there are solutions to this and yes, we want to age gracefully. I mean, we're not going to stop aging, but there are things that you can do. So you can continue to enjoy all aspects of life through your later years. And I think this is a time in many people's lives when they're, re-emerging into dating where it's an opportunity to really find a fit that is more ideal for them. So you want to be able to enjoy that right. On all fronts. So we're excited about that part of the technology for sure.

Speaker 1:

And your 86 year old mom did it.

Speaker 2:

She did. In fact, she had her third session this morning.

Speaker 1:

She's amazing. I want to be on an Salah when I'm 86 years old,

Speaker 2:

She'll tell me, you know, that she, she does a lot that we offer in the clinic as well. And she doesn't take any medications. She's 86 years old.

Speaker 1:

Wow. But she takes herself when she

Speaker 2:

Takes a lot of supplements.

Speaker 1:

So I was talking to my daughter about this and she, you know, she's 17. So she's, she humors me by listening to me about what I'm excited about for the episode. And she said to me, mom, I don't want this to be about weight because guys don't care. And I was like, I know guys don't care. Like they like, it's how you feel. It's how you feel about yourself. And I said to her, I'm not Kim Kardashian. I'm not trying to be. Um, you know, even though Kim Kardashian has done, she's done the M sculpt and drew Barrymore. And a lot of other celebrities love it. I said to her, the whole mission of my show is to have people get in their power and says key, feel better. And that's the next topic. And I think people definitely I'm in the beauty industry in a sense, um, you know, I make people look better than they do. That's what I get paid to do. And I watch how people's confidence changes when I show them the back of the camera and they see how beautiful they really are and that they forgot the beauty that they've always had. And I think people put way too much emphasis on looks and people think that they're going to alert others by the way they look and get them hooked by the exterior. And just the other day, one of my friends asked me how I would have all these dates. And I said, and I laughed. She was like, how did you do it? I said, because I'm a salesman. And I knew I didn't need to be a certain weight, but I ran Tinder like a job. And even though I felt horrible, but myself, I faked it until I made it, but I learned how to play the game. And I made sure that my texts were creative funny, and my delivery was subtle because the soft cell works. You have to ignore yourself doubt and insecurities confidence is your kryptonite while dating doctor. And do you agree or can you weigh in on weight?

Speaker 2:

So yes, I love this. And I think it's, it's perfectly insightful for a Morgan, your daughter to recognize we don't want this to be about weight either. And it's a side effect of building strong muscles. But what I saw the F the second week, I had a young woman who is quite beautiful, could, you know, model if she'd like to be. And she was almost in tears telling me how unhappy she was with her own image at this moment. And maybe she had five pounds more than she did prior to the pandemic. And we spoke, we don't want this machine to add to the self critical part of the brain. You know, we really want it to empower people to feel better, as you know, is consistent with your principal. You want to feel good and strong and confident, and that what you think about yourself is far more important and powerful than what others think about you. So, so be aware of that and this whole process.

Speaker 1:

That's great. It's so true. I really have embraced this whole M sculp mindset. And I said to my boyfriend, and I said, you know, I don't know if I should do glutes. Like, I'm okay with how I look, you know, they're not okay in a lot of other areas and he's like, do it. And, um, no, but he, he said it in a way that he kind of appreciated that I was like, I'm okay with myself where I am. And I think that version of me now, that's a lot of work that I can say that because, and I've had models on this show. I've had so many beautiful, successful people. And so it's not, the exterior is not how beautiful

Speaker 2:

You are. And it's good to remember for your listeners. Um, if they had their trust violated, it's never about them. It's about the relationships and parts of it that are working or not working that people maybe haven't articulated. And when there's a third party sort of violation and committed relationships, it's really normal and natural to go down that path of self doubt. And, uh, you know, to think if only, and the truth is that other people don't break up relationships, they kind of get in through the cracks. And it, it typically has very little to do with where you're at in your fitness or your weight, or

Speaker 1:

Right. And I always say rejection is protection. And that, that was a blessing because that person didn't deserve to be in your life. And it's proven that health and wellness allow you to feel better. But if you don't like and love yourself, you're going to have a really hard time dating. And this work that we're talking about right now needs to be done internally. And I know this has been a challenging year. It has been so challenging and every person in every client and anyone, and everyone has been knocked down, they've been knocked off their access. They have had to pivot, reframe. I was on the phone with my mom the other day. And I said, you know, she started talking about the COVID cases. And I said, mom, I have a compromised back. I'm working so many hours. This mission of this podcast is so important to me. I said, I have to protect. I'm very sensitive person. I cared greatly for other suffering, but I have to protect myself chicken to Nuon. And I think we need to do whatever we can to feel motivated and not feel down. What do you tell people to do? And I'm sure you're seeing this all day long at your clinic. People have low energy or they're just so depressed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So it's interesting. I got a text from my niece about two weeks ago and she said, auntie, and I'm looking for motivation. I want to go for run, but I really, you know, I just can't get there. And I said, take it from a run to a walk instead of trying to do an hour, start with five minutes. You know, I think if we can do a little bit of movement or if we have a way to just get started with a manageable step, make sure you're setting your expectations according to, to what you can handle at that time. And I think you'll be surprised, you know, smaller, manageable steps can grow into better habit.

Speaker 1:

That's right. Well, I was so excited when I built my swiping soiree and I was thrilled to get 30, 40 women in the room. And I'm so excited that now I have, you know, in over 700 cities and 57 countries and I'm reaching out to so many people and I feel really happy about that. And, and it makes me feel fulfilled to share things like M sculpt. And this is a tool that you can improve how you feel and that you can build confidence, but I really want to make sure that we hammer home. And this really is important to me. And, and trust me when I say I had the worst outfit on my first date, and I went out with no credit card or a license. I had a lip gloss that was important. And I literally threw on these leggings and a terrible tunic, but I had a smile and a good attitude, and I did some dance moves. And it was like, I made fun of myself. I just went with it. And I think I probably wore those leggings because I couldn't even fit into my like typical jeans, but it didn't matter that I wasn't in fighting shape. It didn't matter that I was in dating shape. And I really want people to, to realize that you don't have to be in perfect shape to get back out there. And, you know, you tell the story of your beautiful niece and it must make you sad that

Speaker 2:

It did make me sad, but it also gave me an opportunity to really speak to the principles of, you know, self-confidence and beauty from within, and people really getting comfortable with that. And you know, it, it's hard in our society. So to be able to surround yourself, your inner circle, the people who matter the most and family, you know, if you're fortunate enough to have that, that's a place to go to, to build your confidence. And, um, so it's an opportunity. It was an opportunity for me to speak from the heart, um, with her. And I kind of felt like that's what she needed. We both needed. It was a connect that I feel really honored to have had. And, um, it's common.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is common because we get in our own head and we all need to support each other. During this time we need to reach out. We need to, we're just not running into each other. Like we used to, we're just, we're just isolated and alone. And we need that loving care and that to encourage each other, um, you know, get back out there, remind others of their inner beauty. The inner beauty is the most important thing, and I don't know a more beautiful person inside and out the new doctor. And so thank you so much for taking the time today, inspiring us and sharing your tips around health and wellness. Where can people find you and learn more about M sculpt?

And also download, hold that prescription of high castle doctrine and I have together. Thank you so much, Dr. Anne, for being here today and for now, this week's Tinder tips. Number one, surround yourself with people who don't focus on superficial reality relationships that are based solely on looks or like a house of cards. And they always collapse. Number two, be positive, upbeat. Sit up tall, walk with your head, held high and strongly exude confidence. That's your kryptonite. Number three, if you don't feel good about yourself, then have a love affair with yourself. First, before you seek validation elsewhere, number four, be attractive to other people, circle yourself with the Meyers and make them compete for your attention. Having lots of options will also make you feel more confident. A win-win more matches, equals more dates and more opportunity. Number five, don't forget that you are the prize. No matter your size, how you carry yourself matters, always appear out of their reach. The soft sell works. People always know if you're trying hard or overselling, number six, be different. Be yourself, be a contrast to everyone else. Those are the qualities to focus on and start before you're ready. I hope you found some of my tips helpful this week. This is what shot at love is here for, to help you find love.
