If you are one who struggles to fall asleep at night and you reach for your phone, that is the worst thing you can do for your sleep, and I am here to help you. Have a guided meditation that you can quickly turn on to help you just rest and relax and clear your mind before bed so that you can have a restful sleep and wake up feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Here we go. 

I'm going to guide you down into a restful and rejuvenating deep sleep. It is common that busy minds try to keep you from making the leap from awake to sleep, so I'm going to give you one last chance to think about these things, one last chance to go through any worries or concerns that you have that are keeping you from getting a restful night's sleep. Go ahead and think as hard as you can about anything that stuck in your mind, but when you do this, you only give each thought one chance to think about it and then you'll let it go. As each thought arises that keeps you from feeling relaxed, say to that thought okay, I've acknowledged you, so now you must leave. Then continue, think your thoughts and only give them one chance to present themselves and say now it's time for you to go. As you watch these thoughts coming, notice how less repetitive they get. You are emptying these thoughts out by actively letting each of them go. Visualize them going down through your feet into the ground and out of your head. If something arises that you already just thought about, I want you to thank that thought for coming and release and let go. You deserve a restful sleep. You only have a few moments longer to think of anything that's left and then letting it go completely. 

Restful sleep is natural for you. It is natural for everyone. However, up until now, you've allowed your thoughts to have control over you, keeping you from getting the sleep that you deserve. But now you are done with this habit, because restful sleep is natural for you and overthinking is unnecessary and unnatural. You are doing exactly what you've been needing to do for so very long. As these daily concerns fade and become less aggressive in your mind, you find your body starts to feel lighter. You also find that your mind starts to feel lighter as well. You feel a gentle floating sensation sweeps over you and this is the most relaxed you felt in a very long time. You notice the slight sound of your gentle breath and it reminds you of a calm breeze or a serene ocean or maybe a clear stream trickling by. 

Your breath is very similar to these scenes in nature, because your breath is the most natural thing in this world. Your breath slows a bit more, which means you're very relaxed and ready to doze off into a beautiful sleep. Your body is welcoming this relaxing sensation. Your mind has been so kind in letting go of any repetitive thoughts, because you acknowledge them and then firmly let go.

The sound of my voice becomes distant now and the sensation of sleep is drawing very close. I want you to focus on the inhale and exhale of your breath, the rise and fall of your chest. Notice how your body starts to slowly feel heavier and heavier as this relaxation and warmth comes up through your feet, your knees, your lower back, your hands and your elbows, through your shoulders, your back, and your neck and your head as you slowly feel your body sinking deeper and deeper into the bed.

Your body sleeps deeply and soundly. You barely notice your breath now because it has slowed to only what is needed for a deep and restful sleep. You deserve this good night's sleep. You sleep deeply and soundly. You let go of unnecessary thoughts. Your dreams are constructive and offer a space for learning. Your dreams contribute to a happy wakeful life. It is now effortless for you to get the sleep you need. Sleep comes easily for you. 

Focus on your breath as you fall deeper and deeper into the bed. Let my voice completely fade away and enjoy this rest you naturally experience.
