Northeast Newscast Episode 109: Hatching new businesses in the Economic Growth Gallery (EGG)
On this week’s episode of the Northeast Newscast, we are speaking with Bobbi Baker-Hughes, CEO of the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and manager of the Independence Avenue Community Improvement District and Susan Scott, director of ReMax State Line Commercial Real Estate and treasurer on the Urban Core Group Board.
This week we are discussing the chance for our Northeast community to be the recipient of a $150,000 Partners in Preservation grant. The Economic Growth Gallery (EGG) business incubator, is one of the top contestants for the grant. To win, it needs the most votes. Baker-Hughes discusses the history of the EGG, what the EGG is doing in the community to hatch new businesses, and how to vote. Scott discusses the work of the Urban Core Group and their upcoming event at the EGG.
