Born and raised Northumbrian, Tom Cadwallender is currently a freelance ornithologist, bird tour guide, Vlogger, broadcaster, lecturer, traveller and most importantly a Birdwatcher.
Tom has been studying birds, particularly waders and seabirds, for well over five decades and has a rich in-depth knowledge of many species.
A British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) diehard, appointed BTO Regional Representative for Northumberland in 1991, and enjoys nothing more than counting birds for conservation, financial gain and fun, and he will spread the 'ornithological word' to anyone who will listen.'
Tom is a well-known broadcaster and writer based in Northumberland, UK. He is a gardening writer for consumer magazines, local newspapers; as well as a radio presenter (20 years+ ) and a TV broadcaster in the past. He is also a photographer and lecturer. His specialist subjects include: general gardening, poisonous plants and garden safety,
