Many moms experience overwhelm for several reasons. The most popular reason is poor organization. This is usually a result of trying to remember everything, but our brains aren't hard drives or storage devices, but we often treat it like it is. With our devices constantly going off with notifications, our email inboxes being flooded and text messages throughout the day, it's no wonder you feel like you're all over the place. Now, instead of you making your phone your enemy, what if there is a way to make it your ally? By using a practice management system like Asana or my favorite Trello, you can stop using your brain as a storage device. Now, I want you to see how you can do this. So check out this clip from Gabe on how to use a project management tool to organize your entire life that is featured in let's get more time.

Gabe Cox:

So what if I told you that you can set it and forget it when it comes to those recurring life tasks and not have to keep those worries in your head? What if I told you that you could do the same thing for your work or business to keep you organized and feeling in control of your to do list? Well, I decided to teach this workshop because there is a simple way to do just that. Once I found a method that worked to take my daily, weekly, monthly, annually, and even irregular recurring tasks and create a system to remind me when I needed to do them next, it was a game changer for my life. I no longer had to lay awake at night trying to remember not to forget all the things I had to do the next day or week or well into the future. I could fall asleep, stress free knowing my organized workflow would be there waiting for me in the morning. Now I want to teach you how to do the same thing. There's an alliteration I love. Proper planning prevents poor performance. Being flexible is important. And being able to work off the cuff can be a positive as well. But trying to do your work without doing any planning can lead to failure. It can lead to your days and weeks passing, and you looking back wondering what you even got done, or why you didn't get further along like you thought you would. Trying to remember it all in your head just doesn't work. If you go that direction, you'll get bogged down because you don't know what you need to do next. You won't prioritize the important things. Honestly, doing the menial things first, like checking email is easy. It's more mindless. It makes us feel productive, but is it the most important thing? Probably not. Priority planning is key for our success inside our home and in our work. My goal today is to help you to get organized with a project management system so you feel like you're gaining your time back and can focus on what matters most to you. In our short time together, we'll work through the three simple steps to get your life and business organized with Asana. First, we'll build out one stomping ground for everything going on in your life. Then, we'll create your year at a glance strategy board. And finally, we'll make it your own and build the habit to utilize it. So, why Asana? It's your one stop to do list on steroids. Once you create your systems, you'll never have to think about when you need to do what again. I even have a task for changing out my retainers every six months. Because I'm not going to remember when I did it last. I'm just not. Or, I'll lose the note I wrote to myself about when I did it last. I'll also preface this part with the fact that you don't necessarily need to use Asana to make this work. There are so many different online project management systems out there. Trello, ClickUp, Mondays, MindMeister, those are just a few alternatives. I started with Asana and have learned the ins and outs of it. It works for me and my brain. And it's simple enough and I don't need anything that's extra visual. I just want to know that I have everything that I need to do in my life and work in one place, making my life much, much simpler. A few reasons I love Asana. You can set it and forget it. There's a feature where you can create tasks to recur however often you want. Once you check it off, it will come back as a to do on the date you initially set it for. You'll be able to keep your projects and tasks organized once and for all. It's easy to navigate, keep things separate, and review and adjust as needed. It will feel good to have a project manager in your pocket because you'll hit deadlines and see your progress along the way. The first step that I'll walk you through is building out one stomping ground for everything going on in your life.

Now, if you're ready to walk through the three steps of getting organized with Asana, make sure you register for Let's Get More Time to see this presentation and so many more in its entirety.
