You are tuned in to The Real Happy Mom podcast. I'm Toni-Ann, and this is Holiday Voices. This is a special series where moms share quick tips and meaningful moments to help you trade chaos for calm and make this season a little more like you. So let's jump into today's voice. Hi, I am Shannon Atchison from homemade lovely.com. I actually live in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. And I just wanted to share one thing I'm doing differently, um, this holiday season that I've done the last couple seasons, um, and that. Is to keep my holiday decorating clutter free. So the easiest way that I do this is I create one focal point that I sort of go all out on, and that tends to be, um, the tree. Um, I fill it with lots and lots of ornaments that I love so much, and that I've, we've used for years. Sometimes I add in a little extra something. Um, and I also. Keep everything else simple by sort of focusing on greenery and layered lighting. Um, and then a few key pieces of decor like our, um, nativity and then everything else is just layers of like cozy textiles and you know, like throw pillows and blankets and stuff like that, and some festive scents like cinnamon and stuff like that. So I keep everything really simple and almost everything except for the nativity and the Christmas tree can then carry through to winter as well. So that's what I'm doing this holiday season to just make it easier and, much less stressful. That's it for this one. It is short, sweet, and straight from the heart.
