You are tuned in to The Real Happy Mom podcast. I'm Toni-Ann, and this is Holiday Voices. This is a special series where moms share quick tips and meaningful moments to help you trade chaos for calm and make this season a little more like you. So let's jump into today's voice. My name is Nikki Cheek and I am from St. Louis, Missouri, and I actually didn't grow up here, and that's why my favorite memory is around. Food because I moved so much growing up that no matter where we were for the holidays, I could always count on one thing and that one thing was Christmas morning breakfast, and it always consisted of what we called pizza's, eggs, which was really a egg casserole, right? Probably something that so many of you have. On Christmas morning or on holidays, which was sausage and eggs and bread, kind of all mixed together, but it got its name because it was supposed to be spicy sausage. And for me, that always signified a holiday morning because. We were always somewhere different. Some years we were at my grandparents, other years we were at home, but maybe didn't have family nearby depending on where we were living. And so for me, that memory of waking up and having those pizza eggs every year. I always stuck out and now we do the same thing for our kids. Every year we wake up and we make the same breakfast, so that memory has carried over for me for 43 years, and I hope that it carries into the future with my kids as well. That's it for this one. It is short, sweet, and straight from the heart. And if you're loving the series, make sure you follow the show or subscribe so that you don't miss what's coming next. I'll be back again tomorrow with another one of these holiday voices. Until then, take care and with thoughts of love.
