Sending a hand-written thank you note after an interview still matters, yet only 1 in 40 people do it;

  • Being gracious shows a level of integrity and caring critical to on-the-job leadership
  • It may make the difference between the recruiter hiring you and another runner-up that is equally qualified
  • Companies look for intangibles, particularly for the executive level such as career ambition, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and motivation 

Alison Tringale, is a Managing Partner with DHR Global (an executive search firm with 50+ offices across the globe). Prior to DHR, she spent 7 years as a management consultant and ran a boutique search firm for almost 10 years. She started her career at Pepsico in their supply chain organization. She enjoys working with innovative leaders that are looking to disruptive technologies such as blockchain, RPA, IoT, etc. to meet increasing customer demands.
