Poetry Tea Time

"I had a little tea party, this afternoon at three.
Twas very small, three guests in all,
Just I, myself, and me.
Myself ate all the sandwiches while I drank all the tea;
Twas also I who at the pie and passed the cake to me."

One of the easiest ways to introduce poetry is to host a poetry tea time.  It is also a great way to inspire children to compose and recite original poems.  In this week's Coffee With Carrie episode, Carrie shares one of her favorite homeschooling traditions and creative writing activities:  A Poetry Tea Time.  Join Carrie for this little tea time as she shares simple ways to start this homeschooling tradition in your home.   If you have some tea, a few snacks, and one or two poetry books, you already have all you need to host a poetry tea party as soon as you finish listening to this episode.  It is that simple (and fun!).
