Mom, Make Time for Personal Reading: A Conversation with Katie Klein

As a mother, especially as a homeschooling mom, reading is one of the most important habits you should form.  Why should you make the time when you have so many other things to do?  Reading broadens your horizons, enhances your concentration, enables you to view the world from other perspectives, enriches your knowledge, refines your thinking, and strengthens your intellectual abilities.  And if those reasons aren't enough, your children learn to value this habit through your example.  In this week's episode, Carrie talks with Katie Klein, book-lover, homeschool mom, curriculum creator, and founder of Little House Learning Company, about the importance of making personal reading a life-long habit.  Not only do they share tips on how to make time for reading, but they share some of their favorite books and authors.  You don't have to read one hundred books a year to be a "reader."  You don't have to read what's popular, and you don't have to stick to one genre.  Making time for personal reading will change you!   Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and join Carrie and Katie for a little coffee and conversation about books!
