With excitement, let me introduce you to
Tami Gamble-Gurnell

She is living proof of these four words “NOTHING WILL STOP ME!”

At an early age she believed construction was a job she was capable of doing.

Against all odds she was able to return to the key that unlocked the excitement for building, which was instilled in her heart since the age of six (6) years old; while helping her stepdad pour concrete steps at their house.

First, she received an education at Howard University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Education.

Her passion became her purpose which led into her organization titled
The Girly Shop Teacher.

Girly Shop Teacher provides youth with the hard and soft skills that will prepare them for a successful careers.
In addition, she’s the first African American woman certified to teach Construction and Building Trades in the U.S.

This is what you call Bravery.
