DJ Doran is a former Chicago mayoral candidate and is the Executive Director of United for a Better Chicago, a local non profit that supports initiatives which better the lives of everyday Chicagoans in all 50 wards. 

DJ is also the host of weekly podcast Sensus Communis,  a common sense Chicago focused political podcast that gives insight and opinion from the perspective of a non- politician or lifelong political bureaucrat.

DJ is a small business owner, pilot, adventurer and philosopher and enjoys cerebral debate about Chicago politics and the issues that challenge city leaders.

DJ is married to his husband and they share a daughter and two grandkids.
