All Things Mental Health
Introduction, Life as a Black student
Life as a Black student explores the lived experience of eight Black students studying and living in the U.K. Our aim is to move away from the stereotypical understanding of a 'homogeneous' experience, and instead we're being led by the lived experience of students in a more meaningful and authentic way. This podcast series explores the Black student experience of mental health in Higher Education through four focused areas - intersectionality, family expectations, leadership to imposter syndrome, and the international experience.
In our introduction episode Aneeska Sohal (Founder and Project Manager) and Anna Bailie (Researcher in Residence) from All Things Mental Health, Andy Owusu (Content Lead) from Student Minds and Kairo Maynard (Dramatherapist) from Colourful Minds (our Clinical Advisors), share their hopes and reflections on this dynamic series created by eight inspiring Black student hosts.
This podcast was created by All Things Mental Health and Student Minds. The podcast supports and features in the Student Space package, Life as a Black student, created by Student Minds. Views expressed by individuals are their own and don't necessarily represent those of Student Minds and All Things Mental Health.
