SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 190: When self-kindness asks you to do MORE
Self-kindness can often be interpreted as being synonymous with ‘doing less’. And while that is sometimes true, especially given our relentless pursuit of MORE, it’s not exclusively true. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is to do more of something.
This is exactly what we're diving into in this episode of SelfKind, as well as some tangible tips for navigating how we decide when more or less is needed most.
In this episode you will hear:
- Why self-kindness sometimes asks us for less and sometimes for more and why getting comfortable with the both/and of this is so important
- That you're not a robot, so it's ok to stop expecting yourself to behave like one
- Why curiosity and compassion are centre-stage when learning to relate to ourselves with self-kindness
- And much more.
