SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 193: Slow the rush
Hello and welcome to this episode of SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. Today we're talking about rushing. You know the feeling, right? Like everything is urgent and has to be done now, if not sooner?
Rushing can be really useful (I mean, if you're running late for your flight or saving a life or something, please, do it with haste!) but when it becomes our default, it can have significant impacts on our experience and nervous system.
In this episode you'll hear:
- The role of neuroception and how rushing can impact your nervous system
- Five tips for slowing down
- The role of movement in practising a slower approach
- Why slowing down doesn't always change our pace ... but can have a HUGE impact on how we feel.
