SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 201: Three myths of self-love
Self-love: does it feel familiar or foreign?
Honestly, it felt like a complete and utter myth to me for the longest time. I would hear the words and think ‘yeah, yeah, that sounds nice, but also: impossible.’ Now? I realise that the myths are the mistaken ideas we hold about what self-love really is, not self-love itself.
So, in this episode, I’m talking about three myths that might be getting in the way of having a loving relationship with yourself.
In this episode you’ll hear:
- Why loving feelings are not a prerequisite for self-love
- Why self-love can be the best foundation for challenging yourself
- Why trying to earn your own love is backwards.
