SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 87: Addiction, Mental Health, Trauma and Yoga with Vanessa Hollo
In this episode of The Movement and Mindfulness Podcast I'm chatting with Vanessa Hollo - an outreach worker and accessible yoga teacher supporting addiction and mental health recovery.
Straight up you need to know that in this episode we talk about substance use and addiction, mental health conditions and trauma. There is also adult language and a conversation about the rise of conspiracy theory supporters within the yoga community.
Vanessa shares with us:
> her own experiences with substance addiction, mental health and recovery and how that led her to sharing the work she does now
> why trauma informed yoga practices are so important in ANY setting
> why autonomy and choice are a vital element of a sustainable and supportive yoga practice and how to navigate the need many of us have for structure and knowing how to do it 'right'
> her views around the rise of conspiracy theory supporters within the yoga community - why yoga teachers are so susceptible to such beliefs and how it has divided the community in a dangerous way.
Tune in for the full conversation.
